I'm a massive classic rock fan, and whenever I'm driving anywhere I have my windows down and bass way up on 105.9 The Rock (Nashville) in my '89 Pontiac. However, Switchfoot still holds as quite possibly my favorite band ever (Rush, Jimi, Eagles; it's all close). Brilliant lyrics, powerful sound, great voice, and incredible people. This may not be my favorite song by them (Sooner or Later) or album (Beautiful Letdown), but I'm here because this song is a massive inspiration for a book I want to write someday.
