Very nicely presented by you all. My favourite singer Ms. Sawani Shende mesmerized the viewers as usual. Dhani is a very melodious raag. Carnatic raag Suddha Dhanyasi is a proximate to this Hindustani raag Dhani. This raag resembles carnatic raag Udayaravi chandrika also. Moods expressed are shringar and virah. All film songs quoted and sung here are real gems . Thanks .

Yes! You might be right. It is typical for dhani to be confused with malkauns especially the komal gandhar. If you listen with your mind, you'll find that dhani is similar to the more popular bhimplasi but if you hear with your heart the rendition can sometimes induce the malkauns' typified meditative trance, especially during slow paced renditions.
