Hello Mam, I love idiyappam, that too with ragi is very healthy. I tried this recipe and it came good. Only problem I experience in this dish is the noodles are little sticky after cooking (ten mins) and not loose.

hai ragini i tried this recipe but i could not able to get the noodle shape from the press . the moisture is coming out of the press not the shape of the mould which is used

dear raginiji,i m always wondering about it so asking this question -in making dishes of different types sometimes ginger and garlic are cut into small pieces, in some they are put in paste and in some in the form of julians-what exactly the reason to differentiate when the ingredients are same?what way it will make difference in the recipe? pl guide. thanks

+Nirzari Mehta When u chop and use fresh the taste will differ and for curries we use ginger and garlic paste, but for Chinese and continental dishes they use fresh ginger and garlic for flavor and it enhances the dish
