Is the Diamond Fuse fabric in the inside also? As this is the outermost layer, the inside needs to be robust. Able to withstand a GTX jacket with debris on it.

As a layering system.....with an 8000 meter giant down jacket overtop you might be alright. By itself you'll die before you reach the mountain lol

Its comparable to a 200grs down fill jacket, you kind of need more than 300grs of down for aconcagua, and 500grs for 8000s.

Down is much less susceptible to damage from repetitive compression than synthetics

Seems like primaloft pulled as fast one on us with their marketing manipulation. Originally primaloft gold was 60% down and 40% synthetic. Now they changed primaloft gold to 100% synthetic with aerosol. Why?.....Duhh. Because its cheaper for them and down is still king whenever it is really really cold. This bullshit. This aerogel stuff is cool but primaloft pulled some weasily shit here

its a belay jacket ffs! the idea is it uses synthetic which keeps you warm when wet, a belay jacket goes over your shell so down would be as much use as a chocolate fireguard
