Have to Agree with @bernardoayres1139. Getting people to hate watch something used to be a legitimate marketing tactic. Apathy is how things die in silence. With hate it still creates engagement, apathetic fans don't care, they just leave. Also, when you drive people way with apathy, it's extremely hard to win them back.

They're basically just flooding Disney+ with as many different products at once to entice the otherwise unaware into getting Disney+. Regardless of the quality, they're slapping whatever they can dredge up on this service to create an illusion of plenty, so people will sub just to watch at least one good thing, like the Mandalorian. I admit, that's ultimately what got me to subscribe. At this point I just leave the sub up for my boomer mom, who has a huge nostalgia and fondness of Star Wars. I keep it there if I want to rewatch the old IPs, like the OG Star Wars trilogy. Beyond that, I only tune in and watch this rather mediocre show when my mom and wife remind me it still exists on Tuesdays. But yeah, I feel like one of those suckers who got tricked by what was seemingly an abundance of half-decent content.. What I've received is contrived, copypasted stories with the same protagonists every single time. Some chick, (or in this case, chicks) who has an amazing gift that she acquired without any training or reason behind why she has it. And Mae fits that bill perfectly, only she's villainous. She can somehow kill three highly trained Jedi without breaking a sweat or suffering any sort of injury, despite receiving only a little formal training from some random Sith she bumped into, somewhere. So, same story as Rey, and Reva. She and Osha will be used for this show, and will be subsequentially forgotten by Disney. They make these characters, don't know what to do with them, and toss them away after they've sold the product they star in. No merch or any sort of expansion of lore. It's become a joke really. They're like the John Wicks of Stars, only with no interesting backstory or any real impact on the overarching SW universe. Anyone notice that there's no Rey or Reva merch anywhere? No demands for them to be in any video games or spinoffs? Nothing. So, it just shows how little Disney cares about its own IPs. This is the respect they show for them. So, little surprise they have even less respect for their consumer base, if this is how they treat their product.

The stupidest fucking part of this whole thing is that the EU already brought in the concept of grey Jedi who believed that using your emotions but not being controlled by them like the sith and therefore are aligned with neither are an actual thing and would be a really cool thing to explore but instead we are left with this half baked subversion masquerading as a clever twist. I’ve said it before but the fact that Disney Star Wars has acted like they’re is no lore or concepts or story lines outside of the first 6 movies was so fucking stupid especially since the blueprint of success was already established by marvel, use source material that’s already popular and execute it properly on the big screen. Well it's interesting that when they had ol' Yord (RIP btw) take his shirt off for literally no fucking reason, the directors had him posed in the same stereotypical way that a shy chick would if she was embarrassed about people walking in on her without a shirt. It's goofy as hell because guys don't really give a shit if anyone sees their nipples and, I'mma be really honest, with the way Yord is built he shouldn't really have any issue with people seeing his upper body either. Now, am I implying that women should necessarily be embarrassed about their tits? Nope, of course not- but culturally speaking Yord's reaction would be *way* more common from a particularly shy and fluttery schoolgirl, than from a fucking stacked Jedi Knight. I've literally never known a single guy who thought twice about people seeing his nipples.

I have no clue where it was spent other than if she paid herself $179 million. This show is so nostalgic for me.
