What a great harvest! 👍 have you figured out how to store the food long term? Drying, canning, pickling? 💪👍

Yep we’ve been making lots of jam and sauces and also just chopping and freezing stuff and all the onions are currently dry stored in the workshop 😃

Hi Jonny and Sam! 😃 I would say that taking in consideration the veggies prices (specially the organic ones) you've harvested a small fortune 😅 it's always good to see the rewards of your self production from your veggie patch 😃 You are doing a great job! Abraço 😃

Oh for sure we’ve saved a lot of money and watered them using our borehole so that’s off grid and free 😃 we’ve just spent a bit of cash to buy the plugs then our time which has been well worth it our lunch and dinners taste so good! Thanks so much 😃 abraço também

I’ve also always fancied the idea of a small holding, but knowing what to do with the harvest must be nearly as much of a challenge as growing it all.

Indeed! Jonny’s mum has got to work and she said it’s like a full time job 😅 making jams, sauces, pies 🥧 fortunately she’s pretty good at it too!

Hello you two, good harvest, you can dry the onions. Good for long use. That what I do. Thank you

Thanks so much! Yes we will hopefully dry store them and they’ll keep for a good while 🤞 we might also chop and freeze them too. Super handy when cooking 🧑🍳

Just a note that grapes are bad for doggos. I couldn’t tell if they eere underfoot or not. 😬
@jonnyandsamofficial Жыл бұрын
Indeed! I didn’t actually notice if they were eating any, they eat a lot of stuff but do tend to know if it’s not good for them fortunately 🤞 they seem to be ok but I will certainly keep an eye in future thanks for the reminder

Not bad for your first harvest in Portugal, lol, Hey, I tried something new this year with tomatoes, my tomato plants grew up to 6 feet tall and produced so many tomatoes that I didn't know what to do with them all. I saw this method on you tube and tried it out, it's amazing how great it works. copy/paste ---> This Method of Trellising Tomatoes is a Game Changer!
