Great run mate. I much prefer you taking some risks and going for it in a race like this. One day soon it will stick and you’ll shock yourself. If it had been flat you would have stuck with the group for longer I’m sure. Well done on have a positive mindset and always good racing with you.

You had a superb tilt at it mate, and are recovering from a virus even if it's a mild dose. Great performance! Thanks to you, I'm attempting the odd speed work session and survived a real tough one - for me - without blacking out or having to walk!

@@TheFODRunner used the blisters that the SL2's have given - still love the shoes - to wear carbons as a treat. Endorphin Pro 3 rarely gets an outing but man they feel good.

I think somtimes when running we can get a bit obscessed with time when in reality a PB or course best demonstrates the best run you have done there so even being close to that is still a good race. I always find it refreshing from time to time just going with how the race feels!! Great running andy!

Great to meet you Andy and join all you great runners for that 1st mile which i ran in 5.15. Hopefully with all the training and the buzz like you I can eventually join you all up there for longer. Look forward to the next video. Shane

Awesome Andy congratulations for giving that a go 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I had a very similar experience on Sunday, I ran the Derby Half Marathon, I wanted a sub 80, I stuck with the pacer and was bang on pace up until half way, then just fell off the pack, came in at 1:23.

Thank you for my morning laugh. I would kill to run in 67° with only 67% humidity these days and no sun. The 5K I'm doing tomorrow morning is projecting a temperature of 84° with 90 plus percent humidity and full sun. Florida people problems.😂

What data do you have on your watch for race day? Is it just total time and average pace?
@TheFODRunner3 ай бұрын
Yes overall time and average pace, HR in the top right corner… that’s it. Apparently I can get rid of the HR in my garmin app… I’m too lazy to try it 😂 I do avoid trying to look at it but I often catch a glance

Hello Andy. Great video as always. I have a question. Do U have insta 360 on for the entire race or U click it couple of times to save battery?

Thanks! I click it off and on to save battery so record about 30 second clips at a time

Great running Andy. I’m older and slower than you but I hear you have the double inhale while you run? Is this a natural thing or do you implement it into the run? I do this quite a lot at higher RE without knowing.
@TheFODRunner4 ай бұрын
Thanks! I do when my HR gets up super high like it did... cant replicate it in training as I rarely get to that point for a prelonged period of time!
