An incredibly eye opening conversation.

OK, I'm a clinical social worker and a chronic headache sufferer. So, even though I've seen a zillion doctors for my pain and taken SO many meds and had SO many nerve block injections in my cervical spine, I was aware that there was pain psychology. But I've been having a terrible time finding a therapist who is a pain specialist who has availability. How do I find people?

Sorry to hear about your pain journey - doesn't sound like much fun! You could possibly reach out to Rachel and ask her who's in your area?

Is there an email we can reach her directly?

I love Dr Rachel! I accredit her for saving my life. she was the one who introduced me to Mind-body techniques. So, would these techniques work for someone with phantom limb pain? How could I contact her?

Thank you so much for so eloquently getting the science/info/truth out there about chronic pain. Would love hear stats on % of MDs/physios that have surgery for back pain vs. general population #insidertradinginfo

Same here, curious and desperate. Her comment on pain after back surgery is so insightful.

At about 16:00......did Rachel make a mistake? Refers to opioid increasing endorphins. Never heard this. I've only heard about opioid increasing dopamine and serotonin although only dopamine is advertised. But those two hormones don't influence pain.

Opoids increase endorphins. Thats literally why they are called opiates, because they act on the endorphins

She appears to state the obvious, over and over. And what’s all her nonsense about ‘I’m a nerd because I love science.’ News flash- you’re a psychologist. Yes, you are quite expected to apply the scientific findings of your field and integrate them with findings from related fields. This generation is something else 😂
