Girl - I’m a business owner and mom who has spent the last year flailing around, fucking everything up and somehow working 90 hour weeks but still falling behind so I have made it my mission to become a planner girlie and productivity queen this year. So I obvi came straight to KZbin and came across your content first and like…CAN we be best friends? You are so wise, and so relatable, and so real and you’ve given me hope that I can get my shit together despite my 2 kids and ADHD. And this video when I opened my phone to start my morning pomodoro break could NOT have been better. You’re changing lives for real.

The “Someday Maybe” list is great for those rare afternoons where plans fall through and you need something to keep you from boredom 😇 where better to look than a list of fun things you didn’t have time for? 🕺🏻

David Allen who coined the term "someday maybe" also refers to this as a best practice for incubating ideas. Thank you, Rachelle in theory, for folding "someday maybe" into your system for prioritizing tasks.

I love using the Eisenhower grid to help set priorities. One of the things I do is look at what is urgent and important and try to figure out how to move items from that quadrant into non-urgent and important in the future. Using your example of buying cat food, which is presumably a recurring task, I set up a subscription to have cat food and litter delivered to my home every month. It’s still important (number one on the list, according to my kitties!), but it’s no longer urgent because I know when the next delivery will arrive. This also speaks to what you said about delegating tasks, since I’ve now delegated part of the responsibility to the online shop and the delivery service. Rachelle, thank you so much for your videos. I’ve been a student of best practices for planning and organizing for quite a long time (probably since before you were born), yet you teach me something new with every video you post. You are very motivating! ❤

Thank you for being the ONLY person I watch for "real life" advice, and real life problems! I KNOW you're an Apple user through and through, but can us Android users get a video on some digital options. I know some of the apps you've mentioned are available on both, but I'd love some "Rachelle advice" on options!

I loooove someday maybe lists. I keep mine on a sticky note and it moves in my planner week to week so it doesn’t clutter up my actual needed to-do lists

Another spin on the, "does this need to be done, does this need to be done by me, and does this need to be done by me now" is: 'do i need to do this now?' and emphasize each word (do _I_ need to do this now?; do i _need_ to do this now?; do i need to do this _now_?) It has the three above, but also, "do i need to do _this_ now?", ie is there something else that could accomplish the same thing with less energy &/or time?

Oh my gosh! I really needed this! Every one says prioritise but they don't say how to and what to prioritise. Thankyou Rachel

Seriously, this video is so helpful!!! I’ve been so in productive since the Christmas holidays. I’ve literally not touched my planners because it gives me anxiety to think about how much stuff I need to do. I LOVE how you showed the Hobonichi weeks example where you just wrote down the task list on the right side, and picked 1 priority task per day. This seems very simple and manageable for me right now and something I can actually do (considering my head space right now). Thank you so so so much!!! 🥰

The thing with delegating tasks is that im the office manager so im the one that people delegate their tasks to. Anyone else in a similar position & have some tips?
