I hardly ever comment, but I watch all of your videos (love them), and when you started to go down the “rabbit hole” of your chronic pain, my first thought was, “man, I would listen to her talk for hours on this”, because since having my youngest, 4 years ago, as well, I have dealt with everything you spoke about. All that to say, if you decided to make a video on what you’ve experienced and how you’re dealing with it, I’m sure it would be super helpful to more than just myself. 💜

On the vibration plate, bend your knees to cut down on head/neck vibration. The straighter your legs, the more vibration you'll feel in your head. Bent knees are best if you get headaches. Lifepro on YT has a fabulous channel for exercises on vibration plates.

As a (US) MD, but speaking as a patient, you have mentioned chronic pain a bunch. The symptoms you've mentioned repeatedly -- persistently activated muscles, chronic neck/back pain, insomnia -- are so similar to ones I struggled with. Your body habitus makes me wonder if you've ever been evaluated for hypermobility. I am in NO WAY selling anything, and certainly not prescribing anything. As someone who was diagnosed way later than I would have benefited from, I just hope to help other people. Signed, someone who does so much PT.

I got a vibration plate like the Turbo back when Covid first started and we were home bound. I would do it 10min after an episode I was binging and would get an hour to an hour and forty minutes in a day. Loved it so much! The stretch handles you can attach are great to have just to hold and have something for your hands to do during the 10 min session. If you are someone who's at the computer all day, it's a great easy 10min stretch to loosen all those cramped muscles by just standing there!

I didn’t love the NYX bronzer at first but now I love it but I also layer it over a matte bronzer. It’s so good for me now and I cannot stop using it.
@misssunnydee3 ай бұрын
I'm getting the feeling it's either love or hate. I've loved it from the start (I have the 01), as it's one of the few bronzers that suits my skintone. It's pinkish and that always looks much better on people with cool undertones ( just like blue and grey tints in bronzers). It also looks good on my mature, dry skin. However, it did help I knew upfront that it was/is super pigmented. Therefore I knew to pick up my fluffiest bronzer brush, to carefully tap into the pan and apply lightly (I hold my brush much, much higher than Rach does. She has her hand almost on top of the hairs and that creates more pressure. My hand is just over half of the handle with maybe a tiny bit of handle outside of my hand, creating a soft touch: easier to blend). I wear it most in Summer now, together with my Saie sun melt cream bronzer (amazing if you like natural and have dry skin). In winter I prefer my Milani Silky Matte 02. It's a tiny bit dark, but the lightest 01 is more yellow. The 02 is cool toned. And fantastic! It has the perfect name. It feels super silky on your skin, and the end result is matte without being powdery, dry or so. It's like a satiny finish. I also got the Rare Beauty Warm Wishes stick bronzer and that one has more pigmentation than the Saie, so that'll be my cream bronzer for winter. I also have the Physicians Formula butter bronzer in "bronzer" (02, same story as Milani), but won't open it just yet as all my other bronzers have been opened for just 6wks, as I'd hit pan on my older stuff and really wanted sth better suited to my undertone and skintype. It's so great to finally have bronzers that are perfect and that make me look & feel good. Like Rach I have the type of pale skin (and I'm much paler than she is😅) that makes people ask if I'm okay without bronzer/blush.

After a surgery I had a couple years ago I had a similar issue with my traps activating, etc all of which resulted in extremely tight muscles and back pain. A massage therapist recommended hanging from a pull bar regularly, which I still do several times a week. If you haven't tried it I would recommend it, it definitely helps along with regularly massaging out the knots in my shoulders.

I’ve had one of those vibration plates for over 10 years now. I, too, bought it for muscles pain. Mine has a program where it goes from level 1 to 100 in 3 level increments over 5 mins and it repeats for a total of 10mins. I love it. Not sure about all the listed benefits but it definitely helps lymph drainage (if I don’t use it for a while I get itchy when I start using it again, that lymph fluid being moved) and for me it does help shake out muscle tension. I usually stand in a wide stance and just change my posture while it does its thing. Things like stand straight, move arms in different positions (side, front, high), slight squat, deep squat, bent knees to diff degrees, clench unclench glutes, tilt pelvis etc. If you want to get your traps area do a wide squat and hold onto the edge of the machine at the front at about medium speed, it will get that area really good.

Rach, are your joints hypermobile? Do you have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome? A lot of the things you mention here and there sound a lot like me. If you don't know, and you are hypermobile, it's something to look into. Also that oscillating doodad....the muscle relaxation you're feeling from it is probably the same as from a massage technique called Tui Na. I moved from Toronto to Vancouver a few years ago, and just before I left I had it done for the first time. I have very stiff muscles, and I left feeling incredibly relaxed. They basically shake your body the way that vibration plate does. It has an effect on the nervous system that causes the relaxation.

I was struggling with chronic pain for years (mostly joint, but also my back and for sure 100% same on the whole traps being active and like clenched all the time to the point they were giving me migraines), and what has given me *the most incredible* relief has been the tracheal cartilage and bone and Marrow supplements by ancestral supplements (I know I know, there was that weird stuff with one of the founders being on roids lol), but seriously though, if I don't take the supplements for 3 days ill wake up and my knees and lower back will again be killing me, but when I'm consistent and take both those supplements it's like im actually in my 30s (my age) and not the 70/80 I feel when I don't take them. Something about the way they work together combats inflammation. It's really incredible. The cause of my issues is rooted in an auto-immune condition, but I figured since you have some of the same symptoms I was dealing with that are triggered by inflammation i'd just throw out there what has literally been life changing for me. I don't work for them or anything, I just feel like since they've given me the gift of an almost pain-free existence (when I could barely walk around before, and the weight of even a blanket on me would make my knees hurt so bad, and I'm only 34!) that it would be crappy of me to not share the info. I'm sure there are other supplement brands that make something similar if you're iffy about that specific brand for whatever reason (although i will say theyve been super helpful and awesome on the customer service front) but yeah, 2 supplements (bone and Marrow, and tracheal cartilage) could maybe help you too. ❤
