I think you're probably supposed to make a dough that's safe to eat raw and they're supposed to be doughy, not cooked through!

They are. They’re a popular treat at a food festival near me and they’re supposed to be gooey inside. Plus for how long she cooked them, the eggs were most likely already tempered.

@@englishatheart You're not necessarily wrong, but no, dough with raw eggs and flour isn't all safe. There is still a chance of bacteria somehow making it in there, for instance, if you accidentally drop an eggshell in when you're cracking. Sure, most people don't usually care, especially when it comes to cake batter and cookie dough, but it is technically not "safe" your chances are low, sure, but they're not 0.

I would LOVE for you to try to make some traditionel Danisk christmascookies. Most are a variation of buttercookies. But we also have 'klejner' that are fried in oil, and the awardwinning 'honningkage' (honeycake). Would that be an idea for you?

I make klejner every year, definitely a family favourite taught to us by my danish Bedstmore. Pretty much never hear of anyone else outside of Denmark doing that.

Soooo one recipe for a really stiff meringue: 1 egg white and 250g powder sugar 👍🏻 It hardens really fast! We use this measurement for our ginger bred houses ☺️

The meringue lost its consistency when you mixed the colors in happens when you over fold to get an even colot

@@dtulip1 gel is usually only a few drops so it usually doesn’t I’ve used to to color macarons but I just whip the egg whites with it than risk folding it in(though I see people in videos fold it in fine but I always fail if I do that )

When you're holding a piping bag twist the end and hold that twisted end with one hand, then guide the piping bag with your other hand. Then the stuff won't come out of the end of the bag and you'll have better control over it 😊

It used to snow every winter in the UK, I remember the snow being up to our waists (even the adults) it was hard to walk through it, we took sledges with tea bags, coffee, milk, biscuits, bread, butter and jam around the village to the bungalows just incase it wasn't safe enough for the elderly to attempt a trip to the shops, we asked if there was anything else they wanted and we would pop down to the shop and get it for them 😄 but now it barely snows, and Christmas doesn't feel quite right without it, if I ever have kids I think I'd want to take them somewhere so they can have snow for christmas x

For the meringue - if you feel it’s stiff enough, give it another few minutes. People always underestimate how long it needs. It’s a chronic issue with people trying to whip meringue. It’s actually hard to overwhip it.

And to answer Rachel’s question, I play as Bowser because studies say that heavier characters and karts do better in Mario Kart. Wario is supposedly the best character scientifically, but I just don’t like him as well 🤷🏼‍♀️

You should try mixing Strawberry jam and cool whip together (1×1 ratio) and put it on a warm flour tortilla. Its really good for a sweet tooth fix while not much effort to make!
