You play with a depth and sincerity unknown to the majority of pianists, even among the "pros"... Very well done.

Beauty across genres and platforms. You are an underrated master. If you are ever in the UK (after this blasted quarantine) and it's in your heart to, arrange a concert. My friends, family and I would travel to see you perform.

That C with the right hand at 5:12 which begins that section, should that not be a B instead? Does your book actually have C instead of B? I'm studying this piece right now, so just curious :)
@rach3master4 жыл бұрын
I believe the B is a misprint. I've never heard anyone play anything other than C.
@nicholashaniotis35084 жыл бұрын
@@rach3master Yeah I think you're right.. I have actually heard some recordings with a B there, but I think C sounds more 'natural' to the piece.

This is very nice! What do you think of Scriabin? He is the melodic heir of Chopin in my opinion. I woud love to hear your thoughts and even more so your interpretation of Scriabin's piano music.
@rach3master5 жыл бұрын
I'm not too sure about Scriabin. In his earlier period he was certainly Chopinesque, but he evolved drastically into a more atonal style, which isn't exactly my taste.

Very nice job! I listened to many of your peformances: many compliments. I have a question for you about Garritan CFX: I tried your same settings you posted on Pianoworld, yet I am still gettin too much noise from the piano sound when pressing the keys at soft or medium velocity (kind of "PFFFFHH" noise, not rare in audio sampling TBH). Carefully listening to your recordings, I'd swear the noise is much less: did you maybe filtered some of the noise? Do you use EQ externally? I have the CFX LITE, but I don't think this changes much, cause you switched off the "closed" and "ambient" mic in the VST, if I am not wrong. TIA !
@rach3master5 жыл бұрын
I haven't done any post-processing after I hit record. I use both the close and ambient mics. Your computer setup may be lacking in some ways.
@r.a.56725 жыл бұрын
@@rach3master Hi, thanks for answering. You said something interesting: I will try to do some test with other laptops. Yet, the noise I hear seems to be something "inside" the samples more than generated by PC... in fact it's not kind of crack-pops, but ambience noise.... like the blow got by microphones... but I surely will do more tests. Thanks a lot
@HOLLBIE5 жыл бұрын
@@r.a.5672 It may sound obvious but that sounds like the Pedal Noise Knob or the Saturation Knob with high values applied.
@r.a.56725 жыл бұрын
@@HOLLBIE thanks but no, even with pedal noise and saturation knobs set to zero I can hear the PFFFH noise: it's probably an ambience noise sampled with the sound itself, that some people may not notice, depending on the used combination with dynamics/headphones sensitivity/listening volume.
