A work light on the ground facing up into the wheel well when filming the rear pad change would have helped a lot.

Doesn't EBC come with adhesive shims that you ccan cut out and apply?

I've got the Ice Cap GR Corolla, but that Black version looks good too!

Love the bright white! Just had a heavy metal one stop by the shop last week, that one may take the cake!

@@circuitdemon_ They’re great cars to own. They’re getting a lot of flack from other enthusiasts, but all the setbacks, and learning curves are a part of the experience; it’s not all negative. There’s plenty that I like about the car. The size, and the power are two things!

@@circuitdemon_ I was really in the market for a heavy metal GRC but I couldn't pass up a great great deal on a black GRC. Have it for a day now 😆

I notice that you remove the bolts that Toyota says to not remove, even on the service manual have a massive note in red to not remove the caliper like that because if you do, you need to re torque in a sequence
@circuitdemon_9 ай бұрын
Never have heard of this before, how else would you replace the rotor? Sure there is a torque spec for the caliper but it’s totally fine to remove it and reinstall with the same torque spec.

@@circuitdemon_I posted on the gr fb group, there os a hole procedure when you remove the caliper like that
@canchume9 ай бұрын
@@circuitdemon_on the brake there is 2 17mm bolts that hold the hole bracket in place, those goes torque at 79lbft
@carlstrohm37859 ай бұрын
It's a radial mount caliper, not a rocket. Just torque the top bolt first and it will be fine.

I could search but I'm lazy, have you addressed the rear diff overheating issue? I saw that there are new gears, ring and pinion, that are the same ratio as the front to eliminate the overdriven rear to front push/friction/heat causing issue available now.
@circuitdemon_9 ай бұрын
We did see that, we don’t really have enough information yet to see if that fixes it, as other issues may arise from that swap

What was the weight of the rotors??? Oem vs ebc?
@circuitdemon_9 ай бұрын
EBC is 22.4 lbs per rotor, and the OEMs are 22.3 lbs. So the they are only a tenth of a pound difference, with the OEM actually being the lighter one from our research.

How sqeaky are the bluestuff pads? I've heard they sqeak when they're cold. I have a front set already in my garage for my Stinger that I'm on the fence about installing.

Hows the bluestuff pads?
@ryan23764 ай бұрын
@@ottoaguilar2392 still never installed them, rolling with a more daily use friendly bosch quietcast front pad at the moment.

Correct, so $1200USD for the complete OEM front pair.
