Thunder valley national in Lakewood Colorado for round 3 of pro motocross was a gnarly one. The altitude made it tough on us with having less cc's than the rest of the field but we made it work the best we could!!

Gotta love when the legend MATTY B uploads. Once again rippin on the smoker. tracks have been absolutely brutal and you qualify on an under powered bike each time. Extremely impressive and I haven’t seen another 2 stroke out there yet. Also it’s awesome to see you always get extremely happy when your girl is around. Nice seeing people having a happy healthy relationship.

3 nationals, 3 times putting it in the show. Thats all you can ask. Thunder valley always gets super gnarly. I rode the track the day after the national in 05, and loaded up and went home after about 4 laps. My c class ass couldn't hang 😂

really good job. altitude is no joke. Have your mechanic freshen up that top end, your riding has smoothed out corners look better, your jumps are always spot on. love the fox gear. No matter what you are now one of the 40 fastest on the pro circuit. Congrates. Ps don't let that A.P. get away lol.

Since 2005 when they added it to the schedule I’ve said that Thunder Valley National looks like the least fun time you could possibly have on a dirt bike. 28 is a pretty strong finish there brother keep it up! Side note - Superfan followed me back on the gram I’m hyped!!

AMA needs to change the rules to allow 250 2T to run with 250F's like they do in Canada (and much of the world actually). Matty B would likely be in the points if that happened. The rule is archaic, and from a time with 250F's were still dog slow. They aren't anymore. The rule is unfair.

Dude, install a STIC carb metering block for Keihin carb. Lesher runs one in his YZ250 for SX. It adds a lot of bottom to mid and you'll have to short shift to keep the front end down. Adds peak hp and over-rev also.

@@mattburkeen820 The convenient part is that Lesher's mechanic has tuned extensively, but for HP Racing porting spec's. The jets used go up by quite a lot, so that makes for big gains. The owner will be receptive for sure. Best of luck in the Nats and stay healthy. Smoke 'em! No Choice!

Forgot to mention that no engine mods are needed and will actually make the power more challenging to control. May want to consider a flywheel weight. Help that throttle control with a G2 throttle tamer possibly. It's pretty gnarly right off idle.
