Fluffy doesn't get enough credit for his impressions! Besides the British accent where he seems to think that posh/Queens English is the way all Brits speak, he is absolutely dead on with all his accents and impersonations.

Yeah sadly it seems to be quite a common thing for Americans to go for either the RP or Cockney English accents. I'm not even offended at this point, I just find it confusing; they've been exposed to various different English accents for nigh on a century, including the Liverpudlian accent (The Beatles and Red Dwarf), the Birmingham accent (Ozzy Osbourne), the Yorkshire accent (Aardman Films such as Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run), and practically every other English accent through shows like Doctor Who, and yet about 90% of the time you ask an American to do a British accent they come out sounding like the only remotely English piece of media they've ever seen is Mary Poppins. And just to add to the confusion, they made a Star Trek character called "Scotty" and made him Scottish only to later on make a character called "Geordie" who doesn't speak with a Newcastle accent.

I think part of it is that we’re not all that great at imitating different types of British accents, so most people go for the most obvious. Which if we’re being honest, most British people do when they go for American accents as well. Typically, it’s Valley Girl, Southern hick, an accent that I associate with parts of California, or an accent that was common to 30-50s movies stars. Just like the UK, there are so many more accents in the US. I think it’s much more difficult for British actors to imitate a “midwest”, New York, etc. accent because it’s easier to pick out when they make mistakes.

By the definition of racism, I would say this doesn't fit the criteria. The food and drink preferences of one race does not make them inferior or superior to another with different tastes. They did this as an act of humor and kindness for a fellow comedian. And it was damn hilarious, as was Gabriel's storytelling. I can't get enough of this guy.

You're very wrong. It's more about the the history of some foods enjoyed by minorities that were considered "poor people food", or "undesirable foods". As well as produce like watermelons that were very much jim crow era slave farm crops, same with sunflower seeds. Those foods have a racist history with african-americans because they were killed and tortured to farm those crops. Same can be said about raw cotton. So yes, these foods being used as a part of attachment, history or particular taste is a racist trope. Those things are delicious and/or useful to most everyone, but african-americans have a horrifying history of dying and slaving over these foods for white men to make money off of. It is offensive to joke about these serious topics, but it's ok in certain contexts like Fluffy's joke who did make it clear it's racist and they were doing it to a friend that would be ok with it. I think it's understandable to feel offended by the jokes, but important to see the context that it was harmless. Now if they did it to someone who they did not know, that would be sensitive to this kind of joke, or they were doing it in hate. That would not be ok.
