Not arguing about his skills… definitely a skilled player. I’m sad that I haven’t discovered this channel sooner. I’d say Pete Thorn is fairly comparable to him and on a more heavy/prog side of things, Rabea Massaad is king!

19" Ultras! That warms my heart. Great sounds and really good playing! I have an old Engl E850 rackmounted amp that sounds really good. Since I don't play in a band anymore, I play it with a Captor X. This Zuta is a beautiful amp.

Man I’m so happy to see a video on this! Superb demo!! I think I’ve noticed this amp rapidly on Thomas Blug NAMM video tour and because of its funky look, with all the lights and stuff, I was like “What the f is this?!” Hahahaha I’m really really impressed. I know it’s only one video but it’s probably the best new amp I’ve heard in a lonnnng time. Now that I’ve just seen the price though…the sounds will only live in my head because there’s no way I’ll be able to afford it haha

Any tips on keeping that custom in tune? Just got one and love it! However, the b and g strings almost sound like they are clipping when being tuned. They go out of tune almost instantly.

That's awesome! I was actually surprised by the price. No... $3999 isn't cheap, but I was expecting a price much higher than a VH4 - not a bit less. It wouldn't be too hard to build a "head" enclosure if a more traditional appearance is desired. I suppose if there is one "want" it would be MIDI channel switching.

Awesome intro song, sounds great and the features are awesome but.. the sound feels a bit flat/weak maybe? Compared to other amps on your channel it seems a bit less "open" or raw? Not really sure what it is, maybe more compressed? I'm sure it's a matter of taste but do you hear that as well or is it just me? Either way, the form factor and what that guy is doing in that area is sick. Lot's of cool ideas there.

It more vocal / throaty than something like a Friedman. A BE100 has that open brown sound presence. To my ear GBG is more in the family of Diesel, MesaBoogie, Rivera. Which sits lower in the frequency spectrum, and can definitely come across as less raw.

I have been gassing for the longest time for a mesa JP2C (I love the heavy and lead tones that Petrucci gets), but in the UK its been a problem for years. A few moments of that intro, the lead tones were getting in that direction - given that I'm digging the other tones that this thing offers (which the JP2C doesn't cover that well imho), do you think that this would cover the super liquidy leads? great video dude and love the channel

They do, but the 25 is a TOTALLY different amp. The 50w mode on the GBG is VERy manageable at lower volumes. Just... when you keep turning the volume knob up, the volume keeps going and keeps going and the headroom is massive.
