And this is how a car should be washed it’s the first time I’ve seen a American / Canadian detailer wash a car like this they usually rinse the car with water which hardly removes that much then spray shampoo over the car and wash and swirl at the same time but this is the way it should be done the more chemicals and rinsing before contact equals less dirt on the car top job as always rick

You did it again Rick! My afternoon at the clinic will be better simply because of my mood after watching that R8 get pampered. I know you have a ton of followers but I had told you in the past that my S4 is wrapped and topped off with Skin. Watching you apply Skin on that supermodel made me think that was my R8, at least in my mind. LOL. I've moved to a much larger microfiber block that fits in my hand when applying coatings. I could feel my hand cramping watching you use that tiny block that comes in the package. I'm getting old! As always, strong and wonderful work. Blessings on you and yours from the car doctor here in Texas 👊

Great words from your buddy, the passion shines through indeed! I had a full sanding and correction of the biggest truck I think I’ve ever seen today (2 foot lift, tires in the 40-50 range, mega wide fenders, and A LOT of ground to cover) and I got so discouraged seeing just how much work I had in front of me so I took a quick break and booted up KZbin and sure enough, this channel was my first recommendation. I watched a video and thought about how much you love detailing and it helped me get right back on track. 14-15 hours later and the truck was looking great, I’ve got a lot more work to do, but it just reminded me that I love doing what I do every day and seeing someone else put so much hard work and love into a project reminds me of how much I love it too. Great content as always my man, keep turning these videos out!

Amazing! Very soothing video, I was totally waiting for you to upload. Good to see you're trying CarPro's lineup, from what I've heard, they are leading the market of Ceramic Coatings. If you ever do buy, go with the Audi. I've had an F-Type, F-Pace, XF and SQ5. The Jags are nice, but the company has been bought and sold a few times as you are aware of. Audi is rock solid German engineering and manufacturing. I tried last month trading for another Audi, but just couldn't agree on $$ with the dealer. So, I went with the new CT5 Cadillac. The above is just my opinion though. Cheers!

I really appreciate the kind words. I have been cleaning cars since I was a kid and just approach it with a simple and straightforward mindset. I’m by no means a master, but I’m happy with where I have been able to take my skills. The magic of video makes what I do lot a lot more dramatic than it is in reality!

Would that product be ok on powder coated wheels? I’ve had my wheels powder coated a gloss black and the more I wash, the more swirls I see. How do you compare the ethos products to Adams products?
@RADGarage4 жыл бұрын
I don't see why Defy wouldn't be fine for any type of wheel finish. It's not at all aggressive. I don't feel like Adam's has a product that directly competes with Defy so no way to compare. Are you just looking for a gentle waterless wash solution to keep your gloss black wheels clean without scratching? Defy and a quality MF would be my best suggestion.

Why PPF wash? Have you used PPF polish to correct carbon fiber wrap on camaro hoods and if you do what would be the purpose that you use it for?
@RADGarage2 жыл бұрын
I used PPF Q2M Wash by Gyeon to suck out the little iron deposits that embed themselves in the PPF. This car is completely wrapped with PPF so its the fastest and most efficient way to get that PPF super clean. I do not like using polishes on PPF, but I will do it time to time when I feel the PPF is quality enough to handle it. I have had some bad experiences with cheap and worn PPF not reacting well to polishes. Those vinyl stripes on some cars are a real pain to work with. I remember Matt from Obsessed Garage struggling with his hood stripes on a GT500/350 (can't quite remember which). He had so much trouble, he just pulled them off. If you do decide to polish PPF, my advice is get a very very mild polish to start with and see if it nets you the results you are after. That Gyeon PPF Renew seems like a smart choice. Good luck!

Hello Rick. May I know your dilution ratio for the Adams Wheel Cleaner using at the IK Foam Spray Bottle?
@RADGarage4 жыл бұрын
I dabble with a 50/50 mixture of Adam's and water, but I will use this all-in-one cleaner straight up on my own wheels when they are really dirty. The heavier the concentration, the more bubbly it comes out of the IK spray bottle. That is not actually a foaming sprayer. It's the 1.5 Alkaline Continuous sprayer. @RADGarage4 жыл бұрын
I agree Kai. The R8 is just automotive perfection. It has a bit too much honeycomb trim on it, but I'm just being picky! It's not the most satisfying surface to clean. I would love to perform some pampering on an M5 at some point. I just kind of go with the flow and see what kind of cars and people I can connect with.

I am using a different IK sprayer. It's not an actual foamer. I have the one you have and have had zero success getting it to work. I use my Adam's Wheel & Tire Cleaner at full strength for best results. Sometimes, I cut it 50/50 with water but it sucks diluted.

Absolutely beautiful and stunned by the quality and the detail. I had one question though. Over the years I've seen people gone mad that when rinsing off a car you go top to bottom but you went the other way. Any reason or it just don't matter?
@RADGarage4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Hassan. I am a big proponent of going bottom to top when pressure washing after the foam. I think of that stage as more than just a rinse. What I am aiming to do is force the soapy foam into the deeper grooves, crack and crevices of the car thus flushing out hidden dirt and debris. If I was to start at the top and work my way down, the water would rinse away the foam coating the lower regions before I got there. By working bottom to top, I am assured that soap is being forced into the spaces. It seems counter intuitive, but it's a more efficient use of the foam.

How are you doing,Teacher Rick. Hope everything goes well. I am seeking for your help on my PPF: I used Car Pro Skin on it about 4 months ago, but there is no more beading or sheeting when I wash it currently. I have no idea what goes wrong, maybe I did not give enough time to let product sit on and cure before I leveled. I want to re-coat it with Skin, but do not know how to prep it to get good result, I heard from Pan should polish before re -coat,but that was for clear paint, what is the steps for PPF? Clay it or what? Thanks for your help. 🙏
@RADGarage4 жыл бұрын
@@louislou8233 From what you have explained, I'd say it has begun to fail on you. It's not that you necessarily did anything wrong during the application, it could simply be that it has fought the good fight but has finally thrown in the towel. What kind of elements has the coating had to stand up to? UV? Rain? I don't pay much attention to longevity claims since they are vastly over exaggerated and do not reflect the reality of the abuse the car will see. My advice would be to do a light polish and reapply. You might also want to look into a spray sealant if you don't like the process of having to polish your paint or PPF ahead of a reapplication of a coating such as skin.
