Nice job, I have 99 Blade, last version with good old carbs which I understand! My radiator is showing some very minor corrosion at the sides but nothing I can't hold a bay. It has only done 7000 miles and is kept in a frost free garage.

@@themobilemotorbikemechanic I do ride it when able. I have a chronic back condition due to a mistake the surgeon made during spinal surgery 17 years ago. I am able to get out on my 1200RT all year round (approx 8 - 10,000 miles a year) due to a less painful riding position .

good job there, saving an iconic old girl. At least you have some garage facilities on this one, not easy doing it mobile.

We prefer this era of bike. Scary to think they are over 30 years old now !!

@@themobilemotorbikemechanic yes indeed, the older, yet still very modern classics are the best. I’m currently working on a 1984 Honda VF750F engine rebuild, the whole bike is in a right state, funds permitting I’ll get her on the road for the summer

Don’t you just love rusty bolts and nuts. Had to buy a small angle grinder to remove a few rounded one’s off my vfr. All because a blown bulb on a registration plate light 😡

Yes that’s the sort of thing that can turn a 10 minute job in to a full day job
