Great video. I have only recently found your page but am restoring a 2002 VFR so enjoyed this one. It would be great to add a little info to the end of your videos, maybe tools used, time taken to do the job, rough cost to complete the works. Keep up the great work mate

Thank you for your comment and for watching the video. You’ll find links to some of the tools we use in the video description which should help. Time taken to do a particular job is dependant on skill level and experience so it is difficult to give an indication. Also cost is dependant on parts used. If genuine OEM the cost can be far greater than if using good quality aftermarket parts. Hope this helps and remember to subscribe and hit the notification bell so you don’t miss any new videos when they come out.

Crazy, im just about to do my forks on my VFR 800. I did one fork 2 months ago but its weeping again! The smallest pitting on the stanchion must be doing it so ordered 2 new ones. Not OEM ones mind so ill see how i get on. It was either that or sending them both off to get rechromed, i couldnt decide what to do in the end! Great watch 🤘

Be sure to take it steady when putting the seal on the fork leg and check the lip ihasn’t flipped over once it is on. If the leg is pitted you can slowly twist the seal down over the pitted area which will also help. Good luck with it and thanks for watching and commenting

I would have liked to see how you got that block of wood under the bike. Looks precarious but seems to hold for you.

ive done fork seals on the same bike, but one bottom bolt stripped and had to be drilled out.what a pain.also had to adapt a bolt to fit due to the axle shape etc.

Very nice, suggest using loctite or some similar glue for screws, everything else very high level of knowledge. Can't wait next videos

I would've called that owner quite keen in the corners, judging by the lack of hero blobs...

28:09 You forgot to put the oil in didn’t you! After you’ve completely assembled it you say “All that’s left to do is fill it with oil”. Well not quite eh? You’ve now got to remove the cap, spacer and spring again so you can put the oil in, bleed it through then check the air gap before replacing the spring, spacer and cap. Maybe you charge by the hour 😂

Thanks for watching the video and leaving your comment. We did not forget to put the oil in the fork, it’s just easier to fill both forks at the same time as it reduces the amount of time spent cleaning up and is therefore quicker for everyone. Filming for KZbin is significantly slower than doing the job without a camera and you can be assured we do not charge our customers anymore for that.

36:41 Don't mean to be over critical but thought it would have been prudent to remove linkage clean check regrease bearings bolts sleeves etc before fitting new shock ?
