@@Whacko2 this game was hard enough vanilla omg; i never dreamed of doing a nuzlock and i always do them usually. funny enough pokemon violet i didn't either; just played regular with whoever i wanted. just got a mew from the distro going on! ghost terra type. i would have done anything for a mew when i was younger :) pretty cool!

Interesting choice in the early game, I usually go for the grass encounter in Viridian forest, and pick a water type starter. The reason for this is that I like having two chances at Shinx/Mareep for the Falkner battle since they basically solo it. The most trouble I have in the early game in RR is Nugget bridge.

I recently completed a nuzlocke on hardcore mode. It's really fun seeing the staples in other peoples runs. I personally started Primarina (I genuinely think it is the best mon in the game without contest) Hatching starter eggs till Sceptile (and infernape if I have extra encounters.) I always took Dreepy from the game corner because dragapult is an insane mon for e4. My other very notable encounters are: drednaw (insane early) , beartic (swift swim + slush rush) , mismagius (4 immunities wtf?) grimmsnarl, rapidash (flash fire is so good), kleavor (technician dual wingbeat + accelerock), dracovish(gym rematches handled) and hisui goodra (huge special bulk+ wish).

Its definitely easier than before, the new mons synergy of the fights are much easier to "control" the flow of the battles. The 3.1 teams were close to impenetrable without a good strategy or idea in your head.
