I was thinking a triangular weight mounted on a servomotor aligned vertically could work but there's a huge issue of adding anything to that contraption within the space requirements of the beans. Steering is going to be tough.
@mcearl80735 жыл бұрын
I just came here from PeterSripols channel. I’ll sub to ya, that was a fun video. I was doing other things while I was watching this so forgive me if you already mentioned this but I’d imagine you could use some magnets glued onto the inside of the can and have the end cap stick on fairly easily. I dunno if it would block the rf signal but if so you could probably run a thin wire on the outside around the rim and have it be fairly inconspicuous.
@JoelCreates5 жыл бұрын
Haha thank You! Yeah, the range on this thing was abysmal, but Perhaps a 2.4 ghz system would work better, even with a lid on! Magnets might work, I have a few other ideas as well for attaching the lid on the next revision. Glad to have you along for the ride!
@mcearl80735 жыл бұрын
Joel Creates I think I’ve seen a can opener that cuts the can open below that rolled seam piece too. A few years ago I made one of those stash spots inside of a coke can and that’s how I cut the top off and then when I reattached it it was invisible when I put it back together. I can imagine a 10 dollar car doesn’t have the greatest range. Do you think if you connected the antenna wire to the can on the inside it would kind of use the can as an antenna? I wouldn’t think you’d need a ton of range.

@leonmac3 жыл бұрын
Another way that you could achieve this is having a weight with a motor inside the can and the batteries distributed in a way that doesn't affect the center of mass, and have the weight move around inside the can which would make the can move. Also by having the batteries move with the can and only the weight moving independently you could add some contacts to the outside of the can to make it charge without needing to pull the whole mechanism out. Edit: Using a small brushless motor could make the can almost silent and using the can as an antenna would be a good idea but antennas and stuff are out of my reach of knowledge.

I guess you could probably use the can itself as an antenna doing this would require you to make sure the can wouldn't be too big to be an antenna you would also need to solder some sort of low electrical noise slip-ring you could solder the bottom of the can, preferably as close the center as possible I would also swap out the cheap motor for a stronger one
