I always love new anything from you guys, and I will listen immediately if I see that it's new. I went from having dinner and drinks plans to " Call me next week ". ( cut to 2 hours after leaving this comment.) " I'm sorry you can't make dinner, I hope you feel better". " I feel fine... " " My mistake, I thought that was why you canceled." " No I just saw there is a new episode of a podcast I like..... sorry.I'm not sure why you thought I wasn't feeling well, I don't that I was giving that impression." "Well I guess I thought that because most people to cancel long standing plans for some podcast they can listen to any time ." (long awkward silence )....... " Maybe not the ones you listen too.."

On a side note, I love the fall, I love Halloween, I love the nuanced aire in the air. I was just thinking that it was too bad you didn't do a similarly themed show for the season only be presented with one in the middle of that thought. At first I was content to think that the world building lore that you examine had undertones that kinda had that sort of feel to them, again only to realize that real scary story is literally this whole story. People may not think it's ilk extremely reflective of a horror genre but we can all point to chapters and passages that remind us that it's not exactly Christmas Carol.

In Tyrion 1,he mentions as he's reading on the way to wall about dragonbone,being light and sharp as steel,black due to its high iron content. I think Dragonstone and Dragonbone both may be ingredients in dragonsteel,with fire and blood maguc...

Awesome episode Radio Westeros, I love any discussion regards the myths and look forward to the next instalments. Have you noticed how many of the legends are connected to subterranean evidence or caves/caverns? In this episode you mentioned Winterfell, Storm's End, Nightfort, The Hightower, the Whispers, the Wall, Gendal & Gorne etc. All of which have caves/caverns/subterranean evidence. Your next episode will potentially include Casterly Rock, Horn Hill, Whispers again, Storm's End again etc. Perhaps these legends were using the 'underworld/otherworld/caves' for magical purposes just as the greenseers Bran and BR do? It may explain the wondrous tales of these legends, were they using greenseer magic? They certainly seemed to have the extended lives the greenseers are afforded. Anyway, I love all that you do and look forward to every episode you release. Keep up the great work. :)

Hi Wizz - the underworld theme you highlight is certainly very interesting... George's employment of these settings add a lot to the mystery and the feeling of the 'unknown' in the caves, crypts, mazes etc. It's hard to tell if these people mastered longevity or it's tall telling. Glad you liked the episode and great to hear from you!!

I'm wondering if The thing That came in the night, is GRRM's nod to Stephen Kings IT. It seems interesting that it came back after a time of dormancy, and the kids it took were seen with it! Plus, how all the prentice boys saw something different...!

When you mentioned about how difficult it was to tell what taboos the NK had broken it made me think of the words spoken to open the door beneath the castle. Seemed like it was part of the Watch's vows but not the complete version we know in present time. Might there be a clue in that do you think?

Winterfell a prison built over hot springs to keep it hot,as the prisoners within were likers of the COLD,the heat taking away their power? Is this similar to Starks not lasting long after going south?

79 sentinels sounds to me like a mass hysteria, that might have been caused by a glimpse of something... oh, from top of my head, the others?
@RadioWesteros7 жыл бұрын
Interesting idea, especially given the first deserter we see left for that very reason. We don't know if the Others were active in that time, but who knows what other grumkins or snarks may lurk north of the Wall?
@Laurynassi7 жыл бұрын
Sure, I went tin foil here :) but what makes me think it's not a simple desertion is the amount of men that left the wall. Lets say they planned the desirtion. They had to be certain that all of them are true deserters. It takes one to give them away. Also, to hope that 79 missing men won't be noticed right from the start is a bit dumb. To be able to get away from the wall, it has to be a spontaneous desertion of one shift.
