Hi. Yes I found one with the hole in the bottom. Now I know. 👍🤓 Merry Christmas all. Xxxxx
Sorry to miss a couple episodes, my father transferred his residency to heaven after a short stay in hospice. To sit now and make up the videos I’ve missed has brought me joy! Love you girls! So much fun!!

The glass that glows with an orange tint is probably due to Barium. Some Calcite will also glow in a similar colour too, as will Fluorite, so check your cubes! Great finds ladies and always informative.

I love the nighttime mudlarking and the use of the ultraviolet light! The uranium beads are absolutely adorable! My mother has a huge collection of uranium glassware and we regularly carry our ultraviolet lights with us when we're shopping in antique shops searching for the glassware. It's so exciting to see that glow! I used to have a large collection of old uranium marbles as well, but sadly got rid of them years ago. Thank you for a fun and exciting video!

I just can't go a day without seeing one of your videos, I love them so much. I was thinking about something, maybe fun for you, to take your black light around your home in the dark and see what you have picked up in the past that will glow. I would do it for sure because even though I'm past 70 I'm still a child at heart. Have fun and maybe make a film on it. Or take all glowing objects to your table of Wonders to show off your long time ago finds that you didn't know was R 'Active . Having fun is the way for me and you two make it more so. Thank you. You can also tell the bubble pipes from smoking pipes because the stem has an upward angle to keep the water from going into the child's mouth. Also you might want to check other pieces of your glass with the UV light. Some uranium glass can be red, clear, yellow, green or even blue and purple. Love your videos!

What a fun video for you to make and for us to watch. You were able to find some really cool unique pieces by going in the dark and using your headlamps and your UV lamps. Might I suggest reading the book radio girls and it's a book that is nonfiction of women working for corporation to the 1920s here in the United States and how they caught all types of diseases from working with the uranium. I hope you'll have time to show us your tree and get this year. Wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed 2022 year!

birds can see quite a bit in the UV spectrum so the bit of glass Alex is holding in front of the schroo's face is probably lighting up quite bright in the sunlight for this bird. and we know peacocks see very well into the UV spectrum since the beautiful tails of male peacocks have many UV marks that are not visible in normal light and the peacock sees this during the day while we can only observe it in low light conditions with an UV torch.

What a HIT of a video!!! I’ve been hoping you gals would think about doing this. In fact, I’m pretty sure I mentioned it some time ago in the comments to either you or K&C. One or both. I love TOOLS!! I’m the one hopping up in down in my chair yelling at you to bring your tools with you, like getting a tweezers for picking up tiny items that fingertips are just too awkward to grasp minuscule items. But I digress….. my mother always said, you have to make your life easier for yourself. I’ve taken that one to heart. So that lovely glass bit that kind of looks like a vine with tendrils and such I THINK came off an Epergne, which can be quite lovely showy pieces. I think they are for floral arrangements on a dining table or sideboard. And at one time I owned a uranium glass necklace of cut glass beads. I was never quite comfortable wearing it up against my body, so out of an abundance of caution, I sold it. I also found two green glass measuring cups which light up like day when hit with the UV. I keep them wrapped and packed safely away. I do plan to use them for Halloween at some point. I think it would be really fun to drop some dry ice into them and point a UV light on them in the dark just for some spooky effects! There is quite the debate on Reddit about the glass, and the possibility of it being dangerous. I think it’s pretty much okay as long as you do not keep it on your body or drink or eat anything on a dish or cup that has uranium in it. Keep it at a safe distance, I think, out of an abundance of caution. And if you think about it, get that red glass reflector that you turned up and just humor me for a moment and turn the UV light on it. I don’t know if that would glow, BUT, that red has a very similar intensity and saturation much like the red-orange glaze Fiestaware used on some of their dishes, and it was called Radioactive Red for obvious reasons. At any rate, I love uranium glass, and the few precious pieces I am lucky to own. I hope I will stumble across more pieces on my path. Best wishes for a merry Christmas and a happy new year & be well, Lauri Hyde
