Those insulators look like Bullers LTD london P5065s dated 1936 by the looks of it! They tend to need a slight shock to loosen the rust on these. The last one that you unscrewed actually looks like a different pattern! These were high voltage poles for 11kv (probably) transmission! If you want to know more, just ask! 36:07 that cute half of a little girl looks like one of the Campbell Soup Twins. It's a soup company in the USA and the other twin is a boy. The time capsule, my grandfather would store his nails and screws in jars and squirt some oil in the jar to keep the contents from rusting. Stay Blessed, Safe and Healthy From Florida, USA

That time capsule was very important to that 12 year old boy! I imagine that's his dads patch. The bit and bobs are things he found that made him happy. His curious mind was thinking of the future, like all boys in the 50s,60s and 70s. I'm a 74 baby, I can just picture this kid. A dreamer. I'd throw it back. But thats just me. @@KittyGrey13 It seems like we are in the same place even if it's a different location. Maybe an option for us both would be to take up nature hikes and keep an eye out for rubbish. We could bring a simple gardening trow to investigate. Here it's not uncommon to see signs posted on the roadside warning of fines for dumping. I wonder how many sites haven't been documented at all.
@KittyGrey133 жыл бұрын
@@tnsocialist1257 Yes it’s so frustrating isn’t it. I know there have been bottle diggers fairly locally and I’ve asked them for hints as one even has a KZbin channel, but I didn’t get any response. It seems they keep to their own digging communities. I’ve checked old maps from the 1880s compared to newer ones, spent hours searching google maps, but nothing... seems all the best spots are in the North or South of the country and I’m stuck in the East Midlands! 😫 Yes I think always being prepared is a good plan.
