In Europ is called CRT & I have the 2000 model & is good enough also more many options in the menu

CB is pretty dead. Which can be great. I lived in a neighborhood a few years ago with a few geeks like me who set up a CB network. Zero interference and no license needed. The funny part was that a few of us were hams.

A few of the places I camp the 4x4 crowd uses them. I do agree that for the most part it’s door nail dead... when I was in high school my whole crew had CBs, it’s how we communicated... just like the Duke boys.

Thanks for the un-boxing video. I wonder if that radio gets as hot as some early model TYT 2 Meter radios got when transmitting on high power. Any chance you could keep an eye on the external temps of the case after an extended contact? No specific temperatures, of course, just a quick touch of the hand to see how hot it gets. Thanks!

Thank you for the video. I’ve watched a few of your CB radio review videos, I’m curious though; I assume you have 70cm and up license privileges. Why bother with CB? Unless it’s just for fun and the love for radios and doing different things, completely understandable answer. Do you find any reason to use CB vs license spectrum?

First, the fm version availabke for non US sales should be made available now that its legal here. I emailed rhem about it and havent heard back,. I know they are a new brand, but so was samsung at one time. Good if your on a budget. Me personally i would drop another $40 and gonwith rhe name brand . The president Bill

the president bill is made in china too I believe, and it's an AM radio too. you're not getting anything better for your money with either radio. FM is a whole different ball game tho, its digital and can drop out like digital TV. people are not so happy about it.

This radio is AM/FM hold the a/f button down power it on , you can let go the a/f button , it will say cb hit channel down it will say 12. That's 7watts AM/12Fm export only mode. It's in the manual lol

Not for over the road use. It's a perfect small size for a car or jeep. You need to understand the purpose of the radio before making a comment like that.

Cosme Fulanito sure, but again, your missing my argument. Drivers use AM ch 19. SSB is a expensive extra feature for people who are real serious about the cb hobby. This type of radio wouldn't attract them. This radios main attraction is its size and basic features. Just enough to talk 1-5 miles on the road. This radio is far from useless. Not many people use SSB as a main means to communicate. Mostly just for talking skip.
