I love the way this band play. ed is laid back and relaxed, Thom is in his own world completely, colin closes his eyes and just grooves, Phil either completely keeps his calm or goes mental, or somehow both, and Jonny attempts to murder his guitar

I love how there are three different riffs playing at the same time, and they're totally different, yet they're so cohesive. I also really dig how compressed Thom's tone is and how nicely it contrasts with his crystal clear voice.

I love the way Ed performs. It's like he's so into the sounds he's making that he doesn't even realize he's supposed to be putting on a show. It's like his world is going in slow motion and he's just savoring every moment of it.

"Perfectly Precise and Never Showy" That should be Phil Selway's autobiography. That said... in the rare cases where he gets a chance to throw in fills, they're tons of fun. Even early in their career his fills were solid. He seemed almost like Max Weinberg in the lead-in to the coda on Blow Out.

As much as I love this performance, i hate that Thom throws the "I've seen it coming" in such a passive and kind of seductive way. It just doesn't feel right. The studio version ending, so raw and powerful "I've seen it coming" is the right way in my opinion.

That guitar riff that starts this song got me the first time I heard it, and I assumed it was at least two instruments. I slowly got into more and more parts of this song and now its probably the best one I listen to. The crazy thing is that the lyrics are about mind/body connection issues (I should've read into that from the title) and that's something I come to realization every time I pass a mirror or remember that I'm taking up space. I normally don't care much about the lyrics but fuck is this relevant to me.
