Radiolink RC4GS LED light power on mod & FAIL tutorial and warning

If you want to be reminded to turn off your TX you can add an LED, but learn from my mistake so you don't destroy yours.

I emailed the company asking why it is they haven't programmed this unit with an auto shut off. If you're using LiPO batteries with this and forget to turn it off that battery could catch fire and in fact I've done this only to open my battery compartment to find a swelled lipo near the point of bursting and of course it was ruined.

Whoa that's a serious design flaw. Hope they make a change before a bunch of people have their units catch fire.

Its a cool mod, but this way you are feeding the light with battery voltage..it won't survive it.

Please explain why the LED won't survive long; it's a 12V LED. I'm sure others would want to know too.

@@smallmodelcollector Because voltage is not regulated, but if you run your radio on 2s battery, it should be fine :))
