Master P knows a thing or two about how independent artists can become millionaires. Check out his interview with Baltimore's iiKane of 92.3 FM as he breaks it down for independent artists. Take notes!

the devil cried um, do you know his track record? Do you know how he started his label? This man is one of very few who most record Label CEO's modeled their company around. He bootstrapped, and hit the streets to become successful. He made millions before Sony even offered him a check. Diddy, and some of the other CEO's weren't rich, they were made rich by universal, and Sony subsidiary companies. This man was millions of dollars in liquid assets!

These major record labels will NEVER give out a deal like that again thanks to P lol. He made that 400 million in only 4 years I believe with a number of artists outside of the stars (P, Snoop, Mystikal, Silkk, C-Murder, etc.) going gold and platinum (Fiend, Serv-On, Young Bleed, Kane & Abel, etc.) that helped him get that money so fast. As the host said, Master P was the person who brought the business sense to the forefront of the game with clothing lines, movies, etc.

The more you look at music and the failure for all independents to have any real success, the more it comes down to the Big Three Labels that control 80% directly and more through parent companies, lawsuits, leverage on streaming, radio, concerts, music media. This has never been like this before in history. Let's be honest, no one here has a chance. Want proof ? You saw how big Napster got, then it was destroyed by The Big Three Labels. Can you match Napster success. Still not enough. We independent musicians have tried every trick in the book in music over 20 years and all have failed. Now let's attack the real source of the problem, The Big Three Labels. Start by asking media why they won't cover any of this! Nobody has a fair chance until we do. That has been proven year after year!

i love master p. it's funny how nobody talks any shit if he's being himself and just talkin like he always does but if he comes out with a good new track. everyone tryin to hate on him. why don't u hate on what he talks about in the music and not talk shit about his new music coming out? i'm suprised u don't come on here and complain about him promoting power. Cause everyone knows he came to this show to blow up "Power". He is using the song "Power". It's a movement/brand also. I like it a lot. Just like any move master p makes if it's wobble wobble's or hoody hoo's and all that shit he talks about. i know one thing. Master P has never changed. The only way he changed is by leaving his old life behind and also 10 years later he decideded to leave the love of his life because she would be going awol and controlling his life. MP is the most hated nigga in the game and i still love him cause u got hater like yukmouth who still hasn't said sorry or c boi and mp has plenty of times gave c bo props for his dope music back then and it's a mess. P never dissed anyone and was always real and u people still hate. I'm sorry how is master p one of the most hated rappers? Because he's old. also because he rapped b4 and sold a lot records even though some people hated on the soulja music because they didn't understand what we lived thru. niggaz at 6 years old didn't know what we were konckin. i was kock track 15 on da last don disc 2 called eternity and shit listening to 80 20 deals that p got. he explains here. people hate on this nigga for no reason. what has he done that hasn't helped people? give me a break. Any person who has done a song with master p or a group has helped hiscareer with just that. Look at fat trel, He hatin on what p was doing but it wasn't about the mixtape fat trel, u need to slow ur roll but u sold to the devil and ur going to take ur 220 with taxes which would be around 156 and it will be gone on a house and then u will be complaining to master p later about coming back to the label because he was right. LOL. P the man. Thats why all his artist in the last 10 years are all coo wit him because he never promised them shit and always worked together with them as brands but also rep this nl shit. just like young money or cash money or whatever. Young money is the own stamp to cash money records like with Tru records with nl butj really we all know c just tryin to blow up on the label because he feels he deservbes it and he the only nigga who could of done it. i bet if c was ouit right now that nl would of stayed big thru out the 2000's becasue c would of been doin it big in the 2000's with tru records no doubt. if cash money can do it. then nl can do it withi tru. i saw tru records sell well since 1998 magic's album called "sky's the limit" anyway i'm sad that C ni jail and hope that p can do this without mystikal and c and many others. P needs help from artist like wayne or maybe g stack from that group delinquents or try numbskull to really piss off yuk. numb go sign a nice deal with p and do it like they do it and get paid weekly. and do it like that and sign with p and make good music with a fat group to piss yuktufff off. j diggs can join too. will call it nolimit forever yuktuff records becuase of all that bs he pulled for ruining p career for 10 years out here in the bay when he was doin his universal thing which was more mid west and north and east coast sales. hurricaine katrina was one of my favorite albums to come out during the come back of good side bad side and that was good and that album was good tooo. niggaz trippen. p always good at puttin a team together. he did it with first nl then 95 nl then 97 nl then 98 99 nl then 2000s nl and now this nl. it's amazing how he keeps it rolling. new people and new thing. where is juvenile, turk at now? thye not with anyone. but i bet u see them messin with P soon once c and p figure out a way to be good. Enough said. C probably dop'd up. I know i would be .
@KillAnythingMvin9 жыл бұрын
Your right. Its funny how people hate on Master P saying he old when rap music is the only genre of music that stops liking someone because of their age. Good music is just that, good music. In all actuality an older artists has a lot more to talk about than a younger artist. I love that old no limit sound where he remade a lot of older songs into music the younger generation could relate to. I support P music and still check for him and Im in VA.
