I still eat them today. Farmers cheese is delicious. Sometimes for a quick meal I will take Ritz crackers spread with farmers cheese or cream cheese add a piece of ham and top with a radish slice. That’s my favorite snack when the fresh radishes are available Funny story, when I was in school somewhere around 6th grade I was preparing my lunch and planned on taking a radish sandwich When I went to the kitchen I found no bread only hot dog buns and no radishes but we did have fresh carrots. So I buttered them hot dog bun, peeled the carrot, placed it in the bun like a big orange hot dog! It was delicious but I was the talk of the lunchroom. God Bless you and grandpa

I love that you are from Long Island, I thought so. My mom would be celebrating her 81st birthday today 3/26 sadly she passed away at 52 yrs old. But she was from along Island, born in Jamaica, and raised in Merrick. I was born in Texas, so I never picked up her great accent. While growing up my friends would always try to get my mom to say things like car, salt, pecan, anything that sounded different. Funny thing to me was that “they” thought she had an accent LOL. I can assure you that we too sound regional. My grand son asked me “grandma why do you talk like a cow girl?” 😂😂🥰 I have never had Farmers cheese. It looks like cottage cheese that’s shaped like Cream Cheese. I am anxious to make this sandwich for my in laws, true Texans, I can just see us having Iced Tea and Radish finger sandwiches.
