great video and review. i have 3000 miles on my rad rover 6 since aug 2022, without any issues. just purchased a second one because it was $ 700 off and gives me a second battery for longer trips, got it last week and put it together in about 2 hours. only thing that i suggest you purchase for your own comfort is a suntour seat post and cloud 9 seat. i know you will love it. I weigh 230 and its a game changer for less then $100. iam retired , 56 years old and ride two times per day for about 15 miles each time. helped with my back pain and sciatic nerve pain. thank you for your video and review. i have subscribed and look forward to your next video. marty

I purchased two his/her Radrovers back in 2016. The wife always felt the rover was too large for her and didn't ride as much as I did. Ended up getting her a Radcity Step-thru in 2018 and I kept the two Radrovers. I rotate every few months between the ebikes to keep the battery usage and mileage even. It has mostly been 3 sets of tires and and 3 sets of brakes. I had controller issues at first; but, all taken care of under the 1 yr warranty. I have around 4000 miles on each Radrover and zero plans to replace since they still run perfectly. I did the Cloud-9 cruiser seat and Kinect Bodyfloat suspension seatpost. I had the Suntour SP12 NCX at first and it is very good. I've noticed the Kinect Bodyfloat did a better job with small bumps/surface imperfections like washboard trails, uneven sidewalk cracks, or broken pavement. Both felt the same with large bumps.

Impressive usage! Keep on spinning those pedals. On the alternating usage: I have two batteries I switch in/out on a monthly basis. And take delight at seeing 10 bars after one sits idle for a month when I pop it in.

@@PopRivetChannel I have 3 batteries between my two Radrovers. It is recommended to store these batteries in the 40%-80% range for long term health for the battery cells. I usually leaving the battery between that level when I switch them out. I've lost a little bit of range to low/mid 20s since my 11.6 Ah battery packs are from 2016. I keep my ebikes in the garage and temp don't get below 45 F degrees in winter or over 85 F degree in summer.

Thanks and best of luck with the new toy. Use the code in the vids to save some scratch too. Rad has a bike for everyone. Just know that the RR6 is heavy but it's a versatile all-weather vehicle.

Well done Pop! Fellow traveler here with RR6+HS and 1,900 miles since 10/22. It's been an excellent utility bike! I replaced my disc pads at ~700 miles, and they're due again. You're getting a little better tire wear than I, but I am closer to 200# than 150#! My only flat was the rear due to overinflation -- my bad. I also recommend FlatOut -- I have had zero flats since despite weeks of riding on Texas and California desert trails. Keep 'em coming!!

Just discovered your channel, absolutely love it! I do have one question - my grandpa and brother are both owners of Radrover 6 plus bikes, and they say you should charge it after every single ride, and you can leave it on the charger until your next ride. Would you consider this wise? I’d like to keep my battery in the best shape for as long as possible, and I’m finding mixed answers online
@PopRivetChannel Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for tuning in! Topping off the battery after your ride gets you ready for the next one, so why not? As long as the battery isn't too hot, that is. As a safe practice, I always disconnect the charger once the green light turns on -- I simply set a reminder on my phone to unplug it. And I never leave it charging overnight. Consult your manual or check this RadPower resource, radpowerbikes.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044484033-Battery-charging-guide- Pop

Wow 2500 miles in less than a year sounds pretty exaggerated ,Plus You've yet to have a flat on those paper-thin tires.. Plastic nail deflector in the tire cracked and went through the outside in less than 8 months ,9 months later 2nd flat 2 16th of an inch sticks punctured it Kendra tires suck..!!

That's what great about piling up the miles on a bike, you gather a whole lot of stories to share! Good and bad...
