lets not forget how often was RZA on point with almost everything though. From his 5 year plan of getting all these brothers together to form the Clan and blow up, signing to Loud with the option to sign solo artists (never done before), sending each member to different labels to take over the industry, spending his 20's in his basement producing platinum records, moving on to promote Wu in the film industry, ect. The way he's managed Wu-Tang's legacy in the last 10 years has been nothing short of genius. I bet its hard to disagree with someone that sees the future.

No disrespect to the other Wu members but RZA pretty much got 'em on a string at this point. He laid out a plan, executed, and took 9 people AND their extended families out of the hood. You HAVE to be forever grateful to that dude after coming from where they came from. He stood tall for them in label meetings and all that. They might've been shafted on a couple dollars but in the grand scheme even they know RZA deserved them extra dollars too lol
@daweeza42
@daweeza42 3 жыл бұрын
I think everything in your comment is dope, except for the “he got them on a string.” RZA would never say those words because at the end of the day they are all grown men and they his bros. Obviously RZA is the architect/leader, but nobody wants to hear someone has them on a string.Just my two cents bruh no disrespect intended.

Peace. Its also called being the common denominator. Not many men can bring their own ego down themselves much less then do it with other ppl in real time n then be on a level where they both can communicate agree work together n be a success together much less then add on eight other ppl N work that formula. Its bring out the good part n subtracting the rest. And also redirecting negativity to demolish mcs on wax On a real i always thought wu members just laid verses n it work. Not knowing they might compete for tracks. Meanwhile rae be writeing in studio on whatever paper he finds. Hidden lessons in determination n the success shows. It aint a hit till rae makes it official. Rae, statik selektah joey badass n black thought. Another banger.

Leadership theory speaks about the psychological states of man. First you seek dependence (as a child and even an adult in a new situation). Secondly, you seek independence when you learn and acquire the requisite skills. Most persons pursue independence. However, the theory says that there is a higher state and is the highest, and it is interdependence. This is where a group or society work together for the common good. GZA and RZA, whether by intuition or by external wisdom, pursued interdependence after their own solo Careers. That outcome was Wu Tang and the killer bees. No single Wu member will ever exceed what the group accomplished.

What’s interesting about that second album (IMMOBILARITY) is that if you listen to just the lyrics, Rae actually stepped his pen game up. Not that he was wack on The Purple Tape, but he was LYRICALLY better on IMMOBILARITY, only thing is that the beats were not up to par. Also, Ghostface was nowhere to be found. Will B. Smooth I know about that, I just think he need to battle Q-Tip, his battle with Preme wasn’t as good as a Wu-Tang vs Tribe Called Quest battle

It was a conflict of interest. RZA owns the logo, no members can use it. RZA is artist and producer and his brother is executive producer, they own publishing of the Wu, and piece of publishing of the solo joints, and RZA still gets paid as producer. The rest of the members are just artists. Very uneven, when RZA preaches brotherhood and one common cause. AND RZA & Divine created all kinds of Shell companies to cover a LOT up Not right.
