حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الطَّائِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالنَّاسُ رَافِعُو أَيْدِيهِمْ - قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ أُرَاهُ قَالَ - فِي الصَّلاَةِ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ رَافِعِي أَيْدِيكُمْ كَأَنَّهَا أَذْنَابُ خَيْلٍ شُمْسٍ اسْكُنُوا فِي الصَّلاَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani) صحيح (الألباني). Jabir b. Samurah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered upon us while the people were raising their hands. The narrator Zubair said: I think( they were raising the hands) during prayer. He (the prophet) said: What is the matter, I see you raising your hands as if they are the tails of restive horses! Maintain tranquility during prayer. Reference : Sunan Abi Dawud 1000 In-book reference : Book 2, Hadith 611 English translation : Book 2, Hadith 995 Jabir b. Samura reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to us and said: "How is it that I see you lifting your hands like the tails of headstrong horses? Be calm in prayer." He (the narrator) said: He then again came to us and saw us (sitting) in circles. He said: "How is it that I see you in separate groups?" He (the narrator) said: He again came to us and said: "Why don't you draw yourselves up in rows as angels do in the presence of their Lord?" We said: Messenger of Allah, how do the angels draw themselves up in rows in the presence of their Lord? He (the Holy Prophet) said: "They make the first rows complete and keep close together in the row." حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ ‏"‏ مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ رَافِعِي أَيْدِيكُمْ كَأَنَّهَا أَذْنَابُ خَيْلٍ شُمْسٍ اسْكُنُوا فِي الصَّلاَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا فَرَآنَا حَلَقًا فَقَالَ ‏"‏ مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ عِزِينَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ ‏"‏ أَلاَ تَصُفُّونَ كَمَا تَصُفُّ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَكَيْفَ تَصُفُّ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهَا قَالَ ‏"‏ يُتِمُّونَ الصُّفُوفَ الأُوَلَ وَيَتَرَاصُّونَ فِي الصَّفِّ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ Reference : Sahih Muslim 430a In-book reference : Book 4, Hadith 130 USC-MSA web (English) reference : Book 4, Hadith 864

4:00 for those that argue about abrogation of rafa' al yadain

Assalam alaikum shaykh. I want to ask a question from you regarding rafulyadain. There is this hadith in muwatta imam Muhammad bin Hassan al Shaybani (Hadith no. 108) Muhammad bin hassan al shaybani - Muhammad bin abban bin saleh - Abdul Azeez Bin Hakeem says I saw ibn Umar raising his hands on first takbir when opening the salah and he didn’t raise his hands beside this occasion. Please explain me this hadith and it’s authenticity.

@@MasjidRibat shaykh I have already read your book. You have explained the Hadith found in tahawi.. that Mujahid prayed behind ibn Umar... that is explained very well.. 👍 But this hadith is not that one.. it’s found in muwatta imam Muhammad.. and the chain is Muhammad ibn Hassan Shaybani - Muhammad bin abban bin saleh - Abdul azeez bin hakeem that I prayed behind ibn Umar and he didn’t raise his hands beside the first takbir... please explain me this one.. 😐😐 (who is weak in this chain and why?)

Salam Sheikh... There are some people who say, prophet did it so that people won't bring statues on the Masjid under their armpits... some say they used to bring that and perform raaful yadain so that they can break the idols and this was just to make some gestures... Could you please look into this and get back to us... Thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏

@@rayanhassan3795 making rafa' al yadain in mustahabb firstly. Secondly i dont know if this hadith is authentic or not. Thirdly, the most authentic books of hadith bukhari and muslim both have this from multiple narrators and chains. Fourthly, there is an entire chapter dedicated to this in bukharim
