Kudos to Nadal, Uncle Toni, and the whole team for molding an athlete with such wisdom, mental tenacity, and emotional maturity. Rafa often gets criticized for having a "too physical" game, but I always thought that his attitude is his biggest strength.

He is ALWAYS SINCERE.. Good luck for Sunday. If Rafa keeps calm head during final and think clearly and execute game strategy- he will win. Rafa was very focused mentally in SF, same is needed here. Things to watch out: Firstly, Break point conversion is critical- being aggressive and decisive in finishing points as compared to Semis since Medvedev will keep playing the rally forever. Secondly, serve more aces then semis to get cheap points on own service game. Thirdly, read Medvedev serve well and return deep. Medvedev will hit quite a few out wide serves on both wings especially on break point. Also Medvedev will double fault so Rafa needs to put pressure on second service. Fourth, Rafa FH to Medvedev BH will involve longer rallies (similar to swartmann match) as Medvedev looks solid not to make errors so to win point Rafa has to rip the FH down the line at the right time or have a feeling Rafa will need to come to net to finish points. May be useful to review tapes of Washington and Cincinnati finals. The match is in Rafa's racket. If he plays his BEST tennis i genuinely believe he can beat Medvedev.
