Without a doubt, Rafa has the most class of the 3. Fed had gotten better over the years, but his early years of arrogance are hard to forget. Exceeeeept, when you think about Jerkovic, you forget that Federer was arrogant at all. Jerkovic and the word "class" should never be put in a sentence together again.

He said to the press (to the spanish journalists that asked him) he didn't interact that much with the crowd because he didn't have the strength anymore, that he was very tired. Look where it took us last night: to say that I was literally pulling my hair out, and my wife couldn't watch the match after the second set is such an understatement of the emotional rollercoaster we went through - not in my entire life I would be able to comprehend what you went through last night, and what your parents and wife went through. In the end, both my wife and I was in tears, on the floor, emotionally drained, at 2am in the morning. Why? Cox we knew how much you deserve this victory! That was wrong of him to call that timeout to get a rest and devise a new strategy as you waited on the bench. He wanted to win so bad so he did this to you. I’ve never forgotten it. What made this win significant was that the oddsamakers favored Medvedev significantly higher than Rafa from the very get go to win. What an emotional and inspiring match. It's almost superhuman the way Rafa fought back to win the match, coming from two sets down. It was vintage Rafa in the way he tackled those crucial points, and played one game at a time, refusing to concede. Unbelievable victory. Congrats to him and his team.
Bravo Rafa mă bucur mult că ai câștigat adevărat super campion am trăit niște emoții de nu pot să spun.

Unbelievable match. Incredible comeback, not just in the final but in general after the injuries. Amazing. 21 GS as the first and the rivalry continues. This should even somehow motivate Novak to get vaccinated if he does not want to miss the chance to play for the 21st slam this season. We'll see. Congrats to Danil as well, tough that the crowd was so against him and the little kid isn't dreaming anymore. I hope gets mentally as strong as Novak and will overcome this and also get some love from the fans in the next tournaments, he is a great player, fighter and also a champion. Let's go

Nadal, djoko, and federer are my all time favourite tennis players, and im sure that were not gonna witness again a battle between 3 iconic players getting the best of each others on court, but man this warrior rafa, what a beast, a fighter, warrior, say whatever u want about him, but his mind set has to be learned in schools and universities, what a champ 🔥

Rafa keeps saying he did not really prepare enough to win this tournament. But his preparation was his whole career up to this point. Yes, he lacked some more immediate preparation he would like to have. But the decades of prior preparation were sufficient for the day.

It is an enormous difference between being the first to break new ground och being second. Roger has been the first to break all records, the one that Rafa and Novak have had the privilege to have as an object to chase and to try to surpass. Even so, what Rafa achieved yesterday and hopefully will continue to achieve was not just Great, it was beautiful. And listen to him talking. He is just a normal, humble guy and that is why he is so much more than everyone else...

I liked when the spanish press asked him about how he feels to be above Djokovic and Federer with 21 grand slams and he said that it was never his obsession to be the best of all, but just to give his best and that his carreer is far better than he has ever dreamed anyway

It was such a lesson of humanity...and the fact that "all three had fullfilled their dreams". To put it in those terms was pure beauty.

It's amazing to know that it's 3:00 a.m. in the morning, and Rafa's (and also Medvedev) doing the presser. He's as professional as it gets. Congratulations! on # 21 GSs and # 2 AOs. He's my GOAT, btw.
