Chomsky was extremely disappointed with the banks bailout by obama. Chomsky's book on manufacturing consent is exactly against the "enemies in the shadows" as you put it. This isn't a left versus right thing. Clinton, obama, and now biden aren't being given free paces. I'll sit here and say fuck you to modern day conservatism just as much as I say fuck you to neoliberalism.

Solipsistic how? I would add, Solipsism was an argument allegedly from Gorgias, that we only have broken fragments of. Gorgias died over 2300 years ago. So we don't even know for sure what the real meaning and position of the argument was.
