Tom Morello is doing that high scratch sound on the Guitar, and Tim Commerford is on Bass Guitar doing that smooth rhythm riff.

This is one of the deep cuts that rarely gets the attention it deserves. The sound alone is worth listening to over and over again. The message is on point, as always. Another shade of Rage that completes the picture of who they are.

Not only do I watch for the reactions but also to learn new things about Zack’s lyrics. I’ve been a fan since 93’ and still haven’t understood 100% of his words and still trying to figure out Toms pedals. Sounds like he used a delay pedal on this one? I know he loves using all sorts of pedals at once haha! Wah wah pedal has to be the most obvious one.

Those bars in the 2nd verse had you giggling when you realized what he was saying - awesome reaction - Tim is one of the most underrated bass players, he can hold down a groove that makes the song. Now do "Without A Face" :D

You're ignoring Tim Commerford, the bassist. He's carrying the baseline that you're grooving to. All of the screeching and feedback is Tom Morello's guitar.

I don’t know how he’s doing that! - With a Wah pedal, a distortion switch and a guitar. It’s elements of metal and funk fusing together to produce a sound that hadn’t been thought of before, and he started playing guitar at 17...he’s just a creative dude with an innovative mind that thought of stuff nobody had thought of before.

WHATS CRAZY TO ME IS HOW PEOPLE KEEP COMMENTING ON HOW BLACK PEOPLE ARE JUST NOW FINDING OUT ABOUT RATM. ITS ONLY BLACK REACTORS, ITS NOT THE BLACK RACE AS A WHOLE. AND IF THE MUSIC WAS TRULY INTENDED FOR BLACK PEOPLE AS YOU SAY, I DONT THINK IT WOULD OF COME IN THE FORM OF ROCK, WHEN ITS NOTORIOUSLY KNOWN URBAN BLACK PEOPLE DO NOT LISTEN AND ROCK OUT TO ROCK. I HAVE ONE FRIEND SINCE IVE STARTED REACTING WHOM IS BLACK WHO ALREADY KNEW OF RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, AND HE GREW UP IN A PREDOMINANTLY WHITE CITY AND WENT TO A PREDOMINANTLY WHITE HIGH SCHOOL. ITS ALSO COME TO MY ATTENTION FROM REACTING, THAT RATM DIDNT GET ALOT OF RADIO PLAY, AND TEHY 100% SURE WERE NOT ON URBAN RADIO STATIONS, SO HOW IS IT TAHT THEIR MUSIC WAS INTENDED FOR BLACK PEOPLE, BUT NO STEPS TAKEN TO GET THE MUSIC OUT TO THE PEOPLE YOU SAY IT WAS INTENDED FOR?
@albertevers69324 жыл бұрын
@@RedTopReactions I think you took this the wrong way, if you go to a rage concert it’s almost all white people, I like the fact that black people are embracing other types of music. It just seems to be a lot of you tubers doing this. And it’s great, I watch a lot of them. Just seems like a phenomena. You have white metal heads reacting to rap channels also, seems like it’s becoming a gimmick is all. And what I meant by made for you, is that his lyrics are about oppression being bad ect, these guys where BLM/woke in the early 90’s and white kids where lovin’ it. The cover of Evil Empire is a white kid, “There’s a distinct menace to the child on the cover of Rage Against The Machine’s sophomore album, Evil Empire. His narrowed eyes and arrogant little smirk make him look like an embodiment of the America that RATM are rallying against: haughty, white, and playing at being a superhero while harboring own dark intentions.” Doesn’t sound like I was the target audience, but I still love this band and I watch your channel.

@@albertevers6932 no offense taken. i appreciate you clearing it up. its just i have read alot of comments, that kind of make a mockery of how black people are dumb for not knowing and fucking with RATM. i was really just kind of responding to all those types of comments, to you comment. open dialogue. no harm done. but back to ur comments, when you say they were on radio stations, again i say they were on white radio stations. there are different radio stations especially back then. and urban radio stations did not play rage against the machine, again because the genre was still rock, urban station play rap hip hop and rnb and occadionally pop, so under none of those genres do rage fall under. so knowing that, its not really that hard to believe how and why the black masses are not up on RATM. which does kind of suck given their overall message. but then again, given there message. is that something, you think the government wanted getting out to people. also u mention TV like SNL lol i assume thats saturday/sunday night live i didnt watch that. we grew up watching music videos on MTV, and BET. when it all boils down, they just were not pushed to our communities and now hearing them, it does suck, but its also not surprising. it was much more beneficial to push on us drugs, alcohol, pills and sex. than it was to push rebel, against those trying to kill you. i hope this all made sense, and maybe u can see where i am coming from after reading.
@albertevers69324 жыл бұрын
@@RedTopReactions Yeah man, I didn’t mean to com off in a negative way, I grew up in Ferguson, Florissant, Normandy area, my parents listened to country and classic rock, I listened to this 105.7 alternative rock station, but also I would listen to a lot of rap, it was and is a diverse area. But most rap artist aren’t good role models and don’t have a good message. That always bothered me about rap. I do love old school 90’s hip hop. Rage seems to fit in very well to that and have deeper meaning content that makes you think. It’s not just Black people, anyone who listens to rap primarily have a very narrow scope of music and don’t realize they need to diversify their entertainment. You are doing a great job of pushing that out there. Keep it goin!

When he mentions "left" it also means he's coming from the left wing politically. There are also a lot of layers to "papers". In addition to what you caught it can also be money/capital or the media (news-papers). So like, he's using his platform to shake up the moneyed interests, by igniting rebellion in the minds of the masses. So much poetry in his lyrics.
