I remember going to see this movie in a nearly-empty movie theater at 1 in the afternoon, and enjoying it so much that I stayed and watched it again. Now, it may be that I enjoyed it because I was really, really stoned and had nothing else to do that day, and the theater employees never bothered to check the theaters between showings, but after watching your review, I think actually liking it was also part of the reason. Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane.

1:35 It should also be pointed out that the music in the opening is based on the composer Edward Griegs "In the hall of the mountain king" and mashed with J S Bach's Fugue in d-minor. She also has the sheet music for Bela Bartok's "Microcosmos" so,yeeah: it gets points for knowing the classical music scene from the 1600's to the 1900's as well. It has everything.
@megaultradamn8 жыл бұрын
Cool review, yo! But I have to point out that Dario Argento didn't direct this one, he was just the producer. Lambarto Bava (son of infamous Mario Bava) directed it. Also, idk what's up with the "Argento is the Bill Finger to George Romero's Bob Kane." Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" came before any of Argento's exploration into horror. Unless, of course, the reference was a comparison of quality. If so, I concur.
@RavenHouseMystery7 жыл бұрын
Razor may have been referring to the fact that Dario Argento produced "Dawn Of The Dead" for Romero, along with getting the band Goblin to do the soundtrack. The film was Romero's vision, but Argento definitely helped make it even better.

Must've watched this about 50 times when I was 16. My dad and his buddy that he's known for over 50 years are huge movie fans. So much in fact that my dad's friend put this film on a tape alongside Dawn of the Dead for me. He was notorious for making us tapes with additional movies that coincided with the genre of whatever we asked for, complete with movie trailers at the start of his tapes. He put this film on after Dawn of the Dead, but sandwiched Michael Jackson's "Thriller" in between the 2 films. Seeing as how DOTD is my favorite horror movie of all time, and MJ's "Thriller" is one of the greatest music videos of all time, you can bet that I'd sit and watch the whole tape almost every night for about a year (talk about a great horror double bill). I had never even heard of this movie until watching the tape, and I'm so grateful he put it there.
