I watch a creator and in a video she made (not sure about what it was exactly) she mentioned the thing of “We are responsible for our second thought not our first.” and that concept works well with rage bait. So, you’re scrolling on TikTok and see rage bait, your first thought is likely “What the f7ck? I need to make a comment about this and talk about it to let people know how horrible this is!” but your second thought is likely “This is rage bait, I should block and scroll.”. See what I mean? The concept of “We are responsible for our second thought not our first.” Intrigues me lots and I find it nice. The rage bait I normally see is of the homophobic/transphobic variety and my first thought was to comment and tell them how bad they are, my second thought was to block the person so I did. You are a person, you’re allowed to fall for rage bait, it isn’t your fault, it’s instinct to see something inherently bad and react accordingly, that’s why rage bait works. Also sorry if I talked a bunch, I find the concept of first thought second thought very interesting!

Your art style is adorable, I love your character, and I appreciate your insight. Satire and rage bate accounts drive me insane. They always use the “it’s a joke” or “it’s satire” as an excuse. Like no, saying several slurs and dropping the “it’s satire” excuse doesn’t make it all okay. That doesn’t work for anything, being rude isn’t a good personality trait. Im not sure how these people sleep at night knowing they’re a$sholes. The negativity on social media is inescapable and it’s pure torture. Finding wholesome videos or lighthearted kind comments is rare, we could definitely use some more positivity.

all of the rants aside, i really like how you bring attention to the smaller artists who are literally awesome! And i also wanted to do a little fairshare of recommending art ytubers. SOOO there's this realllyyy cool art ytuber who has a webcomic in the making. Her name is Fangfury! and i LITERALLY CANNOT SEE HOW UNDERRATED SHE IS LIKE- guys honestly her art, personality, and tips are so positive and cool!! It's so refreshing to see an actually respectful person on the internet :PPP so i recommend checking her vids and livestreams if you want! ^^

Yeah I know how frustrating Ridge Bay is I remember one time I made a comment on a video it was a fun fact about deers how sometimes dear or at least female deers can have antlers and I had this one person who decided to make a whole rage band in my comment which pissed me off for obvious reasons because well I end up getting notifications about it. I think I'm My Own Story because I relate to your issues of Rage Bay and also as a way so people know yeah this s*** is really annoying

this is like everything ive been thinking about this topic. ragebait is just a word people use when they wanna say bad things and not get in trouble for it. it reminds me a lot of the term "schrodinger's douchebag" which is when a person says something bad and then waits for the response to decide if they were joking or not. really crappy thing to do and i dont understand the appeal of hurting others for fun. anyway my favorite underrated artist is a music artist! their name is jhariah and their music is super cool and awesome!!! my favorite songs are who's eye is it anyway?, maybe later dance, and re: concerns! i will recommend them every chance i can because they have such a cool way with music and theyre so good at singing and a lot of lyrics hit really close to home
