Well, that's it for the shotguns. Didn't exactly finish on a high note. The stakeout is probably my least favorite. Too many hitmarkers. Still, it has potential, so its up to you to decide what you think!

I love the terminator series too. It's awesome! That's a hilarious observation and true about the movie. You're right about the Uzi being a good weapon in real life.

@Chrissun12 I'd say I'm split between the Olympia and SPAS-12. I'm not a huge fan of the stakeout. It's inconsistent. I like the hs-10, but the range of the dual wield version is limiting. The olympia has very powerful shots, and I love that. The SPAS-12 has an 8 shell capacity. I love that too. Picking between those two pretty much depends on what mood I'm in.

@InboardPG That's something else I could potentially do in the future, but I don't know when I could realistically do it. I'd need a camera, so who knows when that'd happen. Still, it's possible.

i absolutely love this gun! you just have to learn to out-manuver your opponents and run circles around them. It is serious fun!

Talk about a love-hate weapon. I used to hate this shotgun with a fiery passion, but I seem to have found my groove with this shotgun now.

With the stakeout shotgun shoot reload swap swap as fast as you can and you cancel out the pump animation have fun confusing your enemies with a seemingly semiautomatic pump action shoty!

@TheJamesyJames Potentially. I'm going to go in one of three directions after black ops. BF 3. COD MW 3, or game reviews (i.e. give a 10 minute review of games as a whole) This depends on how much fun the new shooters are. You can rule out GOW3. I like the campaign. Hate the multiplayer.

Amish, we made the same Steakout class. I go lightweight pro, SA pro, and marathon pro with the acog python as a secondary. And you're right, you do need cat like reflexes to use a shotty effectively.

Pretty good review. The Stakeout is my favorite shotgun. One question though, have you ever used Hardened with it (ala XboxAhoy)? Personally I prefer SoH pro even over Steady Aim Pro, mostly for the fast reload actually. I've tried Hardened though and it seems to cut down on the amount of BS hitmarkers the weapon gets though. It's especially noticable on Cracked and Firing Range.

What I'd give to add a couple meters to the shotgun's ranges, especially with the stakeout. I've given up on that weapon because all I ever seem to get are hit markers.

Their in-game performance since the launch of the game didn't get nerfed, they got nerfed when compared with the MW2 shotguns, which were beast. In COD4 there were only two shotguns, and they were a bit weak, so in MW2, the shotguns were made secondaries, except that they were also strengthened. BO decided to make them primaries again... and weaken them!

I just think Flak Jacket is much better than Ghost. Staying off enemy radar is one thing, but if you're clearing rooms and playing aggressivly, you need protection for them pesky claymores (Insert explosive joke here). I'm kinda surprised that I didn't hear one word about Flak Jacket in this review, because to me, it's invaluable. It pretty much forces enemies to shoot you. Plain and simple.

See, I always struggle with which to use for Red: SoH or Steady Aim. If I use Steady Aim, the benefits are a given. However, with SoH pro, I get the quick reload and if I do a pseudo quick scope shot with the Stakeout then I find it works very well because of the reduced ADS and the narrower spread when ADS. IDK, I guess its just preference, I will surely continue to switch...

@xxRagingAmishxx hardened would be the best 2nd perk because hitmarkers are nearly nonexistant and the pro version could help narrow the spread of buckshot when facing an enemy while being shot at. You've got good crosshairs, so the base of steady aim is not needed. Scout Pro could be used for the stakeout as a shotgun secondary. Just like in mw2 with the SPAS 12.

@xxRagingAmishxx In regards to other weapons to cover, will you do the Zombie only weapons after you finish the primaries? It would be interesting IMO, as I suck too much at Zombies to ever Pack A Punch them or even get far enough to enjoy them and see their efficiency.

hey i found a stakeout "Glitch", i know its been two years since the game came out but it could be handy in some situations, when the stakeout is out of ammo before you reload switch weapons ( Pistol or non Pistol), and the drop time cuts in half for some reason, just a little heads up just found it out today ^^

I know Scavanger and Ghost work well but if you're running around the whole game (which is the only way to play a shotgun) wouldn't flak jacket be a viable option for all of those pesky claymores you'll probably run into and past?

that is not the barrel it goes around the barrel to create an air current to help keep the barrel cool.
