Fitness people are more likely to watch a video if they know what the calories and macros look like ahead of time. I also like to see the ingredients list in the description so that I know that there's nothing weird or exotic in it.

I understand where you’re coming from! Only reason I didn’t add it in this video is because there are only a few ingredients and it’s highly customizable. You can pick your favorite spread like nutella or biscoff, it doesn’t have to be pb. Appreciate the feedback to help me improve!

3 egg whites whipped, add cream of tartar to help the peaks stiffen. 50 to 80g of erythritol for sweetness, blend in 20g of peanut Butter for taste, I suggest PB2 instead to improve the values of kcal per Edible Gram of protein
@ericgonser15442 жыл бұрын
To everyone asking about the calories and why he didn't post them: Around 25 calories per egg white (46 grams worth) 5 grams of protein per egg white so almost all calories from protein. Skippy natural peanut butter is 190 calories per 32 grams (he used 20 grams) Sweetner is calorie free, cream of tarter is 3 calories per teaspoon (he used less than that), vanilla extract is 5 calories per teaspoon. I think the reason he didn't give the macros is you can use different brands or amounts of PB or nut butter, add vanilla extract or not etc.
@jessreinhardt4408 Жыл бұрын
Made these tonight and they turned out fantastic! I added some vanilla extract, sugar free maple syrup, and a half tablespoon of pb2 to top up the peanut butter flavor. Did 250 degrees for the last 20 minutes to get them a bit crispy:) Thanks for another great recipe!

You speak truth about fat intake. I was the same way cutting out fat and getting 30 to 40 grams of fat and my body was fighting back hard about it. Thank you for making this video, I'm excited to add this to my peanut butter regimen

I have made them 5 times with Costco egg whites, fresh egg whites but night and day difference once I used cream of tarter! They were still good but so much better with cream of tarter. I also pulled them out early the first time which made them way too soft but in my opinion cream of tarter is a must and pretty cheap for a huge bottle (well considering how much you actually need)

I realized my problem I was using erythitol with monk fruit but also walmart sucralose for extra sweetness. This time I made them with erythitol and packets of sucralose they were real fluffy but decided at the very end to add some walmart sucralose for a little extra sweetness and bam it turned into a soup. So there must be something in walmarts sucralose that messes with the egg whites. The 8 packets didn't mess with it neither did the erythitol and monk fruit combo. I had to put it in a 8"x8" pan it turned into liquid. Now I know at least.
@ericgonser15442 жыл бұрын
Correction, It wasn't the sweetener it was the fact that I overbeat the egg whites. Apparently you can mix them so long it actually breaks down their structure. Also don't add 80 grams of sweetener at one time it can do the same thing. Creme of tarter and salt can help them keep their structure.

Loveeee your videos!!!! I’m so making these!! You’re a genius. I’m the almond butter camp, I swear roasted almond butter is the most underrated. I was on a cleanse and couldn’t have peanut butter for 9 months (apparently they have trace amounts of mold in 90% of them). I don’t have a lab to test, so roasted almond butter it was. I missed peanut butter soooo much, the almond butter seemed dry and gritty initially. I’m a natural gal, never eat the mainstream nut butters. I swear to G natural almond butter tastes sweeter, when compared to natural peanut butter. That 9 months tuned me away from peanut butter! It’s something about the almond butter, it hits different. I now find I miss almond butter’s natural sweetness and honey like texture when compared to peanut butter. Now peanut butter seems like it’s dry and bland in comparison 😂🤦♀️don’t hate. Just my truth. Have both, I go through the almond butter about 100 times faster though. Peanut butter is just about the nostalgia at this point. Sometimes you just need a PB&J.

I LOVE meringues and have made all kinds of flavors (lemon, coconut, chocolate, peppermint, gingerbread, pumpkin pie spice, orange, vanilla, almond, strawberry, rootbeer &, rum-I even made parmesan savory ones) but NEVER peanut butter. I honestly didn't know you could mix in a fat after whipping the eggwhites bc if eggwhites have even a trace of fat, they won't whip worth a darn. PB going to be my next flavor. I'd say nutella, too, but I just can't have nutella in the house without eating it. Even meringues made with sugar (but I use less than most recipes call for) are very low calorie per piece. I've tried them with some artificial sweeteners but nut erythritol so I'll have to try that. I also went thru the super low fat diet phase and it stunned me when my nutritionist told me I had to add two tablespoons of fat per day back into my diet because the fat soluable vitamins can't absorb without it. So I do a lot of olive oil, avocados, and nuts. Still eat PB2.

I tried the recipe. It didn't come out like yours BUT it came out very tasty. Sort of like a flat sift cookie. I think it was the liquid egg whites I used. The second batch I used the 2 eggs(all I had) and also the remaining liquid egg whites. The second batch came out somewhat like yours but I got impatient and turned up the oven. The bottoms burnt a little but thet were crispy. Still good. On Sat after dinner I always get the "snackies." I broke up the first batch and put it in a bowl with the second batch. I was in peanut butter heaven. And it was a big bowl too! I'm like you. 1 spoon of pb leads to 10 tbsps. For the next batch I will experiment, I'll double the recipe, use the liquid egg whites and add oatmeal to make sort of a thicker cookie bar. I think it'll be yummy. What do you think?

Tried to make these and followed your instructions exactly but the meringue went flat after I added the peanut butter. I had stiff peaks up until then. I tried to save it after whisking it for 10 minutes decided it couldn't be saved and threw it out. Any ideas why this happened?
@SpreadLoveSavingScraps8 ай бұрын
The fat in the spread/ pb changes the molecular structure of the whisked egg whites. It surrounds the water molecules and prevents them from getting into structure with the proteins and air/oxygen. That’s due to the fat being hydrophobic (water repellent) and that leads to another change in the structure between the molecules. And cause egg whites consist mostly of water (and protein 😉) it can’t stabilise with fat being present. That’s also why bakers try to always avoid getting the yolk in there cause then it won’t work. :) And unfortunately mixing it more can’t save it cause the fat’s still there, so you did anything you could! Maybe separately mixing more egg whites and adding/ softly folding the “failed” mixture into it could save it, but I haven’t tried that. ☺️ hope I could help!! Thanks for sharing your experience;)
@Cleverimp126 ай бұрын
I figured that's what happened. That's what my wife ( an avid baker said). I am just curious how his was successful and mine wasn't. Not to hate on the guy, he has a charming personality and a sincere goal to help people enjoy treats more sensibly on a calorie deficit, but I have become disenchanted with Rahul's videos. They never turn out quite as good as other anabolic/smart swap recipe yotubers. In fact, I am not sure why his comment section is so hyped. I felt like the first person on this video to complain about losing my meringue after adding peanutbutter. Which, given that I did exactly what he did by beating the peanutbutter into it instead of folding it, I would think more people would have run into this issue.

I had issue with using too much pb on my sandwhich. Ended up getting a 2 tablespoon scoop they use for coffee beans and now my macros are in check

Hey, my eggwhites dont beat up to stay stuck to the bowl like yours. Theyre still runny after beating them with almost all kinds of maulinex electric beating sticks. The mixture turned out so liquidy I couldnt use it - any suggestions?
@RahulKamat2 жыл бұрын
You might have a drop of egg yolk in there? Any fat prevents the mixture from whipping up

@@RahulKamat bro I think my diet became very low in fat from getting fixated on thinking I need to have so much volume in my diet from protein and carbs which have much less kcal per gram if that makes sense … but I will say including a lil extra fat does acc help me stay full and less want to just binge dominoes and burgers as often lmao
@RahulKamat3 жыл бұрын
That’s what happened to me too, as I tried to eat higher volume to feel satiated, I kept cutting fats lower and lower. Definitely feel better now that I added more fats in and made room for it by dec carbs/protein a bit
@joebarbaro65133 жыл бұрын
Yeah man relatable asf it’s just scary adding it for me because I used to be fat and lost it eating with less fat high protein for so long .. but I feel that’s just something I need to overcome mentally tbh

you gotta try the key to fat loss’ anabolic peanut butter. you get way more volume of peanut butter and the consistency/flavor is essentially the same imo. these look really good too to snack on

Can you whip the egg whites if you use carton egg whites? Or is it better to use whites from whole eggs
@RahulKamat3 жыл бұрын
Definitely better to use egg whites from whole eggs because the carton ones are pasteurized and may not whip up well

I just made this.... but after I added in my PB it got pretty runny and didnt stay stiff like it was pre-PB.... Maybe too much PB??? I still threw it in the oven because I will be damned if I am going to waste precious PB.. but the dollops are really much thinner so going to check it in an hour and see how we are doing

@@RahulKamat tried it again, this time folding it in and it turned out great(ty for your help) but, I couldnt finish the whole batch so I left it out and it deflated turning more into a bread. Is this supposed to happen or did I not bake it long enough? Edit: I baked it at 200 for 1hr 40min
@RahulKamat2 жыл бұрын
Woohoo glad I could help! I think the cookies are absorbing moisture from your air, causing them to be bready. Store in an air tight container Also you could try leaving the cookies in your oven to cool off completely. Once done baking, turn the oven off and leave the cookies in there until they cool and are dry. This makes them extra dry and crispy (less chance they turn bready later on)
