Mortal Kombat is one of my favorite fighting games of all time and also one of my favorite video game inspired movies of all time (original movie from the 90's). The characters look way more interesting and their powers as well compared to more popular fighting games from the 90's such as Street Fighter, Tekken & etc. What is fascinating about original Mortal Kombat game was that they used still images that they captured from a camcorder and cameras to make a video game. It was very unique. On top of that when fighting games were in the golden era (90's), Ed Boon and Midway (American company) created this incredible video game and franchise when big fighting video games were coming out of Japan pretty much every year.

Actually the lightning character similar to Raiden in Big trouble Little China was called *lightning* the other guys were *thunder* and *rain* not Raiden...Raiden is strictly MK and so cool one of my favorite MK characters and most OP but sadly at times they tend to Nerf him for sake of story. Unbound Raidens fights shook the earth in early MKs against Shang, Kahn etc and the first time he fought and defeated Shinnok centuries ago he nearly wiped out the Earth killed entire civilizations but after years and years Earthrrealm recovered. Raiden also doesn't *lose his power* in Outworld he's just weaker there...same for thr Netherrealm but he does still have his powers just less powerful than if he's in other realms such as Earthrealm, Edenia, Zaterta etc etc Raiden banished Shinnok to The Netherrealm after defeating him centuries ago and he he trapped Shinnok in his own Amulet for 25 years actually after Shinnok escaped from the Netherrealm due to Quan-Chis help... Raidens essence came back corrupted during Deception not because of Onaga but because when he blew himself up his energies were mixed and influenced by Shangs and Quan Chis when he killed them as well so when he came back he was darker. This is explained in Fujins MK Armageddon bio.... When Raiden sends messages to his past self its not an alternate self its his *past self* to change the future and prevent Armageddon... Aftermath Shang didn't steal Raidena and Fujins souls but just took some.of their energies. Shang wanted to keep draining them infinitely for more power of course though that was a buff due to plot. Normally Raiden could easily kill Shang and other baddies if he went all out but never does unless he's darker Raiden. Godmode LK with Raidena power killed Shang Tsung and Kronika in MK 11. The comics Raiden is more powerful at times depending on the book or series while the Malibu books aren't Canon to the games his powers are accurate and the Canon tie in books like mk 4, mk x etc he can actually do more insane things like repair cosmic rifts tears in Earthrrealm and oneshotted multiple people with one attack as well as putting Scorpion like 10 feet in the ground with an attack and tanking getting impaled with hellfire attacks and nearly killing Takeda effortlessly but once he's unprocessed from thr kamidogu he heals him via the jensai. He also put a hole thru fujin literally when he uses the kamidogu on himself but then repairs the hole himself. That would have killed anyone else but since Fujin is his brother and an immortal God like Raiden he has insane durability and can't really die. These guys are entertaining but always get some things wrong when it comes to MK vids I've noticed.

You forgot to mention all his defeats and specially to scorpion, both in the comics and in the game storyline. For some reason scorpion beats him ever since mortal kombat x and when ever he fights anyone, even if he wins he still gets hurt. Even vs the revenants like against kabal 1 on 1. Even against baraka and devorah and even quan chi in mortal kombat x knocked him down only to be kicked by fujin. Raiden is preety weak ever since mortal kombat x

Raiden never lost to Scorpion, he beat him twice first in MK 9 ending in Netherrealm then in MK 11 when he came back honoring Hanzo's death, Raiden blasts him oneshotting him making Scorpion crawl away til he comes to his senses. Not at all lol, MK X tie in comic all scorpion did was survive Raiden's possessed attack, he didn't beat Raiden all he did was take the kamidogu away to free him from the blood magic so I'd say he helped Raiden more than beat him. Raiden had already beat him by that time. MK X actually Raiden beat all the revenants, all Kabal did was make his shoulder blades bleed slightly but did nothing to him. Raiden and Fujin defeated them easily but they didn't want to fight them for obvious reasons being their former friends. Raiden has changed timelines, beaten and outsmarted Kronika by merging with Liu Kang which she admitted she feared. Raiden owned Baraka and D'vorah and Quan Chi in MK X so not sure what you're talking about you forgot about context and that he beat all of them so not sure what you're talking about but you're wrong. Raiden is OP as hell actually, if he struggles it's only due to his powers being compromised or weakened....Raiden literally in the history of MK has the most OP feats from saving Earthrealm, nearly killing civilizations protecting it form Shinnok, saving and helping the Elder Gods in MK 4 from Shinnok then banishing him to Netherrealm for centuries to repairing cosmic rifts and creating spells preventing other threats to changing timelines and merging with LK to take out Kronika. That stomps what every other MK character has done up to this newer timeline. Unlike John Wick, Raiden can't die he's immortal....

It was the power if the amulet that hurt scorpion after he bested raiden. In the comics scorpion didnt want to fight raiden but when he decided enough is enough, he easily beat raiden and was choking him with his chain until he felt mercy and released raiden. In mortal kombat x when raiden and fujin fight the revenants off, raiden attacks quan chi with a combo, but quan chi gets raiden with his magic and uppercuts him away only to get jump kicked by fujin. Yes raiden beat the revenants, baraka, devorah and kabal, but after they put a beating on him. And dont let me even get started on constantly being beat up by shao kahn

Quan Chi getting one magic hit on Raiden doesn't justify nor mean that he "beat Raiden" lol, Quan Chi got oneshotted by Fujin then ran away when Johnny beat Shinnok before Raiden sucked him inside his own amulet. Then Quan Chi ran away lol... He didn't really take a beating when he wasn't even fighting seriously, when he did he oneshot all the revenants while weakened mind you from PIS with "realm hopping" which never happened before as I explained earlier it was just to make Cassie win which most MK fans thought was dumb. If we're talking loses here Scorpion has lost more times than Raiden has and to weaker people like Liu Kang, Johnny Cage and Kung Lao as well as Sub-Zero(Kuai Liang) Raiden only got "beat by Shao Kahn" due to him jobbing and letting him, Shao Kahn was also amped with billions of souls. If Raiden fought Shao Kahn fair terms just their own power sets Raiden would kill him, Raiden already beat Shinnok who is well above Shao Kahn so simple math. Shao Kahn got beat by Liu Kang with a fire punch the same fire punch he tried on Raiden how did that turn out, oh yeah, Liu Kang got killed by Raiden hardly doing anything...Besides Raiden already beat Shao Kahn in MK 9 when Shao Kahn was amped, The EG's healed Raiden and Raiden kicked Kahn's @ass then the EG's finished him.

You trying to explain and say its jobbing doesnt change this fact. ABC logic of liu kang beat shao kahn and raiden beat liu kang means nothing because different fighters fair differently with different opponents. Shao kahn also destroyed liu kang in the aftermath story. All we have us facts, and the facts are, shao kahn beat raiden every single time

They never told us, who he was, who he is and how he became the god that we all know. Shinnok’s amulet was hide in earthrealm and not in netherrealm, sub zero(bi-han) who participate on the 1st mortal kombat wasn’t a hero,he is Lin kuei,they’re assassins,he was lure by Shang tsung with a secret mission of killing him later,on that spot of heroes that u mentioned you should give credit to Johnny cage instead,another flaw of your telling is that on MK11 story line merging times, that was the 2nd tournament and not the 1st as u stated,u need to b more accurate on your “chronology timeline telling” this would disinform the fandom…🤨
