Just had to leave a comment while watching this blissfully "sweet" offering. It is simply wonderful to watch & appreciate the joy & respect a "young" railroader can share with viewers with regards to HIS unquestionable operational expertise & knowledge of railroad matters. And, what joy & with deep respect can I express for a "retired" railfan with unquestionable historical knowledge to be shared to HIS viewers. This simple video illustrates why so many of "my kind" enjoy what you provide & offer. Thank you so much for sharing. Simple railroading viewing at IT'S BEST!!!! This is Peter M; out!

I'm from Ronkonkoma, and we run M3's outta Ronk to/from Penn & Grand Central Madison not only daily but multiple times daily. The M3's have always been, & will always will be my favorite train. Engine-wise, the GP-38-2 holds a special place in my heart because I used to live in Roslyn until I was 16, and the train ran outside my bedroom windrow, and they almost always ran an 8-10 car, sometimes even a12 car train. West bounders ran a F7-A heading the train as a Dummy, feat. The Infamous GP-38-2's doing the heavy lifting. Btw, Congrats Bill!

I haven’t seen any as of late they used to run quite a few of them. They cannot go to Grand Central Terminal.

9:23 , you can hear the dynamic brakes kicking in and out. The M7s and M9s have a feature where the dynamic brakes kicks in when going through large third rail gaps (Only on the cars in the gap; not the whole train). It’s supposed to help power the car’s auxiliaries while in a gap.

I wish SEPTA could re-gauge the Market Frankford Line from 5'FT 8-1/2" to 4FT -8-/12". This way SEPTA could make use of the Subway Rail Network like NEW YORK MTA. Now to get off the soap box, I always enjoy your videos Mr. Tim. Please let me know when you venture onto the Warminster Line again.

M-7 is my least favorite. Frosted glass windows are a bummer on a choo choo train. Thank goodness the single leaf door glass is a bit better on the least sun exposed side to see through. Those M-7's got cataract windows.

I like both the M9’s and Silverliner V’s. The Silverliner V’s look better. However, the M9’s have outlets and bathrooms, unlike the Silverliner V’s. And wearing Phillies gear on Long Island is like wearing a MAGA hat in Harlem.
