There are two types of trams on this network, namely the 3-section Bombardier FLEXITY Swift CR4000 (Vossloh Kiepe DPU 251 GTO-VVVF with Alstom 4-LXA-1442 [2×2] 120kW IM) and the 5-section Stadler Variobahn (ABB BORDLINE® CC800 IGBT-VVVF with Traktionssysteme Austria TMA 40-28-8 [4×2] 35kW IM). Both types are two-thirds-motorised with the UIC classification of Bo′+2′+Bo′.

I think maybe more trams would be useful in parts of London like Richmond or Kingston, the trams are very quick and could be an affordable option to speed up things.

It is a pity that plans to expand this succesfull Croydon Tramlink, which started service on 10-05-2000, did not happen.... Did you notice the high numbers on the Croydon Tramlink trams? They counted down from the highest tram number of the former London tram company, which ran it's last services back in 1953.
