This crossing used to have two dual mast highway style cantilevers with safetran 8 inch lights and a Wrrs or WC Hayes mechanical bell. I believe the signals in this video were put in some time around 2012 to 2014. I’ve lived in Muncie all my life it’s kind of sad to see all the old classic signals that were here gone.

HOW THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS WORK: 1. Track clearance is activated. - The back signals facing towards the crossing turn green, clearing the track, however everything else remains red. 2. The crossing activates. 3. Track clearance has ended. - The back signals facing towards the crossing return back to red when the crossing gates are fully down. 4. Pre-emption is activated. - Traffic lights on McGallard road remain red until the crossing deactivates. Traffic lights remain green on any road that isn't affected by the train. 5. The train is gone, the crossing signals are deactivated, and pre-emption ends. All traffic lights facing McGallard road turn green so the road is clear (or at least more clear). 6. The traffic lights are back to normal. And the cycle continues for every time the crossing activates.
