The railway lies overgrown this summer, my new job and life in general has taken most of my time as of late. I still have been working on my own projects but it's largely getting my shop organized. I intend to continue the railway and to keep making videos, keep an eye out.

Work, the bane of the leisure class. You work to earn the money and then find you don't have time to enjoy it in the way you would want. Keep the videos coming.

It would be good to cover that loco with a tarp while it’s waiting on you. You did a really nice job making it.

I have a pile of dust on my HO scale railroad on a table in my garage. It took me a full year to wire it and create a custom switch board. KI totally feel your pain. I just think how awesome it is to have an engine that you can run on actual track. Super awesome.

Many thanks for all the encouraging comments everyone. So glad to know folks are sticking around. Might have mentioned my attention has been more on putting my shop together so future videos will likely be more on the machine-tool end of things, but it's all in the same vein. Keep an eye out.

Don't give up the ship !!!....or the railroad. Work comes first.....and THEN fun with trains. This is a HOBBY and NOT your vocation. Whatever you want to put up about this project is fine with me.....and others, as evidenced below. You're not "on the clock", so if this project takes another year or two, I don't think anyone will complain. I check back about every 3 or 4 weeks just to keep an eye on your project and so will eventually catch up with your vids. If you'd rather post a series of pics with your progress, that's fine, too. For me, I truly enjoy watching you do something that I have zero space for, far less skill to build such stuff and, most important of all, the motivation to tackle such a project. Yours is a "Walter Mitty" thing for me, so I'm happy with whatever works for you. Keep the faith, pal.

Nice to see an update from you Jonathan. Think of it as rustic charm entirely suited to narrow gauge. Maybe an instagram would be an easier way of doing updates? You could link it to auto-post to a Facebook page as well perhaps. Don't feel down about the railway, you have the skill to rebuild it as you would like to no matter what the undergrowth does. Just make sure that you do it for yourself and that you enjoy what you do.

Hi, I'm doing a similar project. I maybe have a bit skills for Videos, but I haven't done it till yet. So don't worry, you've already done that, I'm not. Your are on a good way, take so much time you need, it's yours and you do it for your own. Every new Video (doesn't matter how simple) is very interesting and I (we) like to see very much. :D So keep going in your own speed. You have still reached so much and it is for your own fun. It shouldn't be work that stresses you. You're already an idol for me and many user, too. :) Greets Nico (from Germany) ;)

Would miss your videos if you drop the YT content. Just upload as you make stuff...no need to limit yourself to a schedule on my account.

Its weird seeing you upload a video for the first time in a few months since i only found out about your channel a few hours ago lol. I have watched all, or at least i think all of the videos on your channel that are directly related to your little engine on its little railway. I think you are doing a great job with it and finding your channel has been wonderful as i start my kick into smaller and smaller gauges. My favorite gauge has always been 3ft gauge and then standard and then the ones below 3ft. But as of recently i have been slowly been going down the list from 3 to 2 to 18 inch and 15 and so on. I wish i could have even a 5 inch railroad in my back yard but i have to stick with the models. Which makes me think, idk if you have any free time where you can do whatever you want but for one reason or another cant work on your railroad, but if so i would suggest working on your railroad. That is a much smaller version of it. There is something called Gn15 which is g scale trains on HO track and so you could make your little loco in extra miniature. There are plenty of videos about them on KZbin, just look up Gn15 trains. That is if your someone who is even interested in model trains. Whether you are or arnt, i hope you have a wonderful span of time between now and your next upload. :)
