You definitely visited some classic Swiss destinations there! If you visit again, which I hope, you could try to squeeze in a few destinations in the east and south? If you'd like to spend as much time as possible in a train, why not take the Bernina Express or the Glacier Express? In either case, you'd be in Chur at one point. Or ride south through the legendary Gotthard tunnel and find yourself in a more mediterranean-like part of Switzerland. There's many things to see and do in such a small country ;-)

Great images of Switzerland in the wild landscape 👌 Are we talking about the Express InterCity ICE 70 ICE 4 XXL (13 cars) Class 412 Siemens which has replaced the ICE 1 Class 401 since the beginning of 2021 on the routes between Chur Zurich and Hamburg?
@RailwayEmotions2 жыл бұрын
It is an ICE 4, with either 12 or 13 cars.
@frederique.michelle.louise2 жыл бұрын
Without offending you and to please you In 2017 The first ICE 4 of 7 and 12 cars from Siemens Mobility and Bombardier transport were intended to replace the InterCity and EuroCity trains built between 1971 and 1991 when the first ICE1 arrived. The 7-car ICE4 Ls are numbered 9201 to 9237, the 12-car ICE4 XLs 9238 to 9450, the 13-car ICE4 XXLs 9451 to 9500. The third variant of the ICE 4 Br 412 is also the longest with a length of 374 m spread over 13 cars with a capacity of 918 seats including 205 in first class. At the technical level, it has a total power of 11.5 MW on 7 motor cars in a 15 kV 16.67 Hz AC voltage system at a maximum speed of 265 km/h. Deutsche Bahn AG has ordered 50 units to be delivered until 2024. The ICE 4 XXL replace the ICE 1 Class 401 in their composition of 11 cars. On June 2, 1991, the first commercial service of the ICE 1 heralded the high-speed era of the DB, then still called Deutsche Bundesbahn, to celebrate ICE's 30 years of operation and the anniversary of the first commercial rail link. 9457 was baptized Federal Republic of Germany, on this occasion it received the colors of the German flag instead of the red ribbon. 9457 also inaugurates Deutsche Bahn AG's longest ICE trainset, ICE 4 XXL. ICE 4 XXL class 412 is a 374 meter train composed of 13 cars at a commercial speed of 265 km/hour. Deutsche Bundesbahn waited ten years after the debut of the TGV PSE in September 1981 to also have their high-speed rail system with 41 units of 12 and 14 elements, which entered commercial operation in 1991 at a speed of 280 kilometers per hour between Hamburg, Frankfurt and Munich, precisely because this number was needed to start business operations in 1987, a railway consortium with German know-how, Krauss-Maffei, Henschel, Krupp, Siemens, Duewag, Thyssen, Henschel, ABB, AEG, BBC, LHB A total of 60 ICE1 class 401 units will be produced. On June 3, 1998 the Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen IC151 will be lost in the Eschede disaster between Munich and Hamburg. To cope with the increasing passenger traffic on the main lines, the ICE1 will be modernized, to continue its commercial service until 2020 when it will be replaced by the ICE 4 on the lines where the attendance is the most important. . In 2018, Deutsche Bundesbahn AG decided to purchase Talgo 350 modular platform ICE L trains in addition to ICE1s, which will be further upgraded until 2030, when they will be replaced by ICE L once every trains delivered. it is not a simple modernization, the scale will be much larger than that carried out from 2005 to 2008 The first modernized ICE1 left the workshops of Bombardier in 2005, in fact it is a modification based on the ICE3, reduced to 12 cars for a total of 59 units, completed at the end of 2009, keeping the autotypical restaurant of ECI 1. The framework agreement signed in 2019 with Talgo concerns 100 units, ICE L for a unit cost of 24 million euros. The first phase of the firm contract provides for 23 units at a cost of 550 million euros, for entry into service in 2024, i.e. a total of 100 trains for the framework agreement for the Talgo 230 modular platform for a value of nearly 2,300 million euros. for comparison, an ICE 4 XXL costs almost 35 million each. In May 2020, the first ICE 1 prototype train leaves the DB Systemtechnik and DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung maintenance center in Munich, it will serve as a test train. ICE 1 will be used on lines with medium capacity requirements. ICE 4 will be responsible for serving busy lines. In view of this future use, the ICE 1 will therefore be shortened from 12 to 9 intermediate cars and modernized from top to bottom, in terms of technology and comfort. The transformation of the 638 cars in total is carried out in the DB FZI factories in Krefeld, Neumünster, Dessau and Nuremberg. By 2024, it is planned to modernize a total of 58 ICE 1 trainsets composed of 9 intermediate cars and 2 power cars at each end on the basis of the prototype completed in May 2020, with 10 power cars planned as options. The designation of these modernized trains for the DB is ICE 1 LDV, Lebensdauerverlängerung The costs of these renovations planned until 2024 is 320 million Euros.

A beautiful and interesting train ride that raises some interesting points: 1) It's very obviously not "high speed" on the sections in this video (as is made clear in the info). 2) Nine hours from the Alps to the North Sea equates to a London-Edinburgh journey-time of about 6 hours (give or take), which is perfectly compatible with existing train speeds on the UK legacy network. 3) This "high speed" service very obviously uses an extensive amount of legacy track - an option which many commentators consider suboptimal (and even "a betrayal") when applied to HS2 and NPR services in the UK. 4) The maximum speed of ICE trains is 165mph (265kph), which is vastly slower than HS2, yet is deemed perfectly suitable for Germany, a larger and wealthier country with much longer distances than the UK.
@sam286002 жыл бұрын
It is correct that the ICE 4 has a maximum of 265 kph, but ICE 1, ICE2 and ICE 3 is faster. ICE 3 has a max speed of 330 kph.

@hope86122 жыл бұрын

Dies geschieht heute meist in elektronischer Form. Die höhere Geschwindigkeit gilt i. d.
