Quick tip regarding your contacts. You’re probably experiencing issues removing them at the end of the day because your eyes are dry. I found that it helps a lot to use eye wetting drops (Refresh Contacts) when getting used to wearing them or through out the day if your eyes are feeling tired or dry. Thanks for the videos.

Luke, I really enjoy your equipment reviews, your expedition videos, and Lunch & Chats. My family and I reside just outside of Chicago, IL after having relocated from Salisbury, N.C. (about 2 hours from Asheville, N.C.) in 1995. Your videos genuinely make me feel like I "have returned home." Your personal approach is always positive; you come across as being very professional and equally confident. Your equipment reviews come across as being very authentic and genuine: you always point out the benefits and weaknesses and even acknowledge when you occasionally realize over time that had initially misjudged an item. Such self-awareness and "self-regulation" exponentially bolster your personal credibility! Congratulations on your success...it is well-deserved and the result of hard work. Here's wishing you much continued success now and well into the future!

A lot going down in this video. Congrats to Lucas hope all goes well with next step in his life. Have been thinking of getting one of the One Tigris tarps. Looks like a good piece of gear. I’ve also seen racers that have been up to 8ft long here in VA! I’ve also switched to contacts this year and love them. Putting them in and taking them out was tough at first but I got the hang of it but I still need a mirror to do it. I haven’t camped yet with them cause of trying to keep my hands super clean with them. Learning curve. Sorry for rambling! Great video as usual.

My oldest just graduated yesterday. We had his friends and fellow graduates over for a camp fire with smores and hot dogs cooked over the fire. It was a good time. If course it had to rain so I got two tarps (one of them is the one tigris) hung up... as soon as I did, it stopped raining. Ha ha. Go figure! Our big backpacking trip is next weekend and, after yesterday, my family is not prepared... this ought to be fun... lots of blunders to come!!! Your last child is leaving and it's only my first of 6 kids. I still have my son for the summer, so I'm thankful for that. Thanks for sharing the video and the review!

I love these impromptu adventures...so relaxing and it comes across so well from you. As you enjoy a cup of coffee so do we; or depending on our time of the day we may imbibe on an adult beverage. The tarp tent set up has been a favorite camping set up of mine since my military days as I suffer from claustrophobia and often end up sleeping under the tarp. On super wet days I will set up the tent directly under the tarp and leave doors, windows and vents open. Thanks for these relaxing campouts. Congratulations to Lucas! Best of luck at college.

Those black racers are a lot of fun to catch. The bigger they are, the faster they go & the harder they are to grab. Those bigger ones can be pretty snappy too. I started hollering real loud... man they FREAKED OUT 🤣 I know, it's a cruel joke but it was hilarious.

Not that this exercise system is a gimmick, but I’ve had several compact gimmick items over the years. I always got bored and quit using them. I finally figured it it’s because you’re in one tiny spot all the time. Before buying this new wall unit, think to yourself: do I really want to work out up against a wall? My best results I had when I turned half my garage into a gym. For me, if this wall unit were a PART of my regular workout it would be great. By itself in a basement or disused upstairs room? No. Funny but I first saw ads for this new wall unit while I was beat up in the hospital. Minor surgery, major injection, septic shock. I was done for. I remember watching the commercial and thinking just how razor thin we all ate at any moment to being disabled, or worse.

Got couple of questions...sorry its goin to be long...for ticks, spiders, and ants have you ever heard of or done a scorched earth you measure out your camp site then clean any debris from around it and basically light the leaves and twigs to burn the area and it kills the insects and then put like a mound of ash around your site because the bugs wont cross it...also have you ever done a review on a,Stealth Angel survival tool/multi tool shovel and besides rattlers what other venomous snakes are in your area I'm from Mississippi I dont get a chance to snow camp

Might seem like an unneeded item, yet an umbrella is lightweight and can save yourself from spontaneous soakings. Also good for too much sun, add some tinfoil inside and use it as a solar oven. Keeps you dry if you need to pee in the rain in the middle of the night.

I really appreciate the effort you put into cinematography - it's not apparent. Without a crew, all those pass by shots, approach shots, and the wide "setting up" shots all require messing with camera gear and often retracing your steps.
