She often helped the others around her when she could. She was the epitome of selfless. And then we found out she developed cancer and there were complications that made it really hard to treat it. It’s like when you go to a therapist, or when you ask friends or family or really anyone for help it supposedly “makes you feel better” or “feel better about yourself” when it doesn’t do anything at all so you just smile and nod your head. It’s an every day struggle to live with depression sometimes it’s hard for anyone to get out of bed it is a true struggle that people have to live with and I feel so bad for anyone who has to deal with such a horrible mental illness. No one deserves to feel the pain and guilt that they don’t deserve for the feeling of that they did something wrong when they never did.

There’s so many good analogies in the comments. Personally, I’ll say this represents isolation/loneliness. The rain being the solitude of being alone at first. It can be nice; It becomes comfortable, then after a while it’s not. So you try to reintegrate. The awning represents trying to surround yourself with people and be more social. And ultimately, no matter who you attempt to surround yourself with, the loneliness remains. It sticks with you. Sending love to anyone who has loneliness that lingers.
