A Brilliant concert. It's easy to forget how good the Rainbow Resurrection was. The New band was excellent.looked the part (For Once). Doogie was a great frontman, could sing in all the different styles and yet had his own personality. He had a good rapport with Ritchie. The new blood obviously inspired Ritchie who was on top form. The Strangers album was excellent the choice of old and new songs was for once well balanced..Especially welcome was new versions of Mistreated and Temple of the KIng.

Best sounding Rainbow concert I've heard. They sound great here...not too overdriven. I saw them twice and have seen the standard live vids. So often it is mushy and LOUD. I think Ritchie had switched to Engl amps and had generally turned the volume down. Very nice. Gotta love Temple of the King!

Arthritis has robbed him of much of his fluidity and speed so he'd struggle, as he did at times during the most recent Rainbow concerts. Plus, he can be an awkward bugger so it would be easier for Purple if they didn't do it.

Dio has always been the perfect match for Richie, but Doogie is a very close second. I'm talking that mysterious, mystical, dark vibe that is Richie. Graham had his place in that era where Rainbow was in that pop world.....

Blackmore was still 52 ywears old at that time.Should keep doing this band with Doogie at least a couple of albums not by sticking money, firing members, quiting Rainbow and starting Blackmore's Night by using an amateur singer even she was very charming.

Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow live at Warehouse, Queen Street West, Toronto, Canada on 26 Feb 1997, Garet Brown was the promoter. The sound was dreadful due to Warehouse bad acoustics together with its poor sight lines (posts on the floor obscured stage lines). Ritchie palyed very well with his heart but his mind was focused on Blackmore's Night already. The drummer who replaced Chuck Burgi was not too good. The lineup was Ritchie Blackmore-g, Doogie White-v, Paul Morris-key, Greg Smith-b, John Micelli-dr and Candice Night- backing vocal. This is the last Rainbow concert fully taped on video by some guy of Yonge Street, Toronto - good job.

Hi Paul, it's easy to convert this to a CD. Just click the address link and paste it into a online converter. There's plenty of them online, just google 'youtube to mp3 converter'. Just have to find a free one. Great performance. Any chance you guys will get together again? Would be great to see you in Sydney Australia. I know that Candice has Richie by the balls. I think he still has a lot left in him.

Hi Paul, first as an gratefull listener, congratullations for your work with Ritchie, the album had great songs and the live performances speak for themselves, tight as ever! And you have some unbeliavable chops mr.! Regarding your question, I have almost always used: www.video2mp3.net/ it's really easy, just paste this video's link there and click on convert and volia! I hope you are well and as a lifetime Purple-Rainbow-Blackmore fan I wish you all the best and I'm forever thankfull for your contribution. P.D: I hope you still in touch with the man, and hopefully we can see a Rainbow tour again.

Paul Morris Hi Paul, I was at this Toronto show, front row right in front of you, I can remember you were not very happy at this show, it appears you didn't like Ritchie's direction. I can remember the mad look on your face and you shaking your head when he would point at you. I loved the show, it was a great performance by all and I'm glad to have stumbled on to this as it brought back memories of the show.

This singer always disappointed me live. If you've seen the Black Masquerade DVD he's all over the place, even losing the thread on Still I'm Sad. One of the rare mistakes Ritchie made was this faceless lineup, he should have gotten Glenn Hughes or Sammy Hagar on vocals. The rest of the band can play, especially Chuck Burgi on drums, but they are not in the same calibre as Ritchie. I think he put them together in haste and it shows.
