I’ve been through the most horrific indescribable things. This song encapsulates how I feel. The depression and anxiety are putting me through hell. I can’t seem to get past the trauma that happened to me as a child, it completely shaped my brain and life for the worse. I’m a 22 year old dude now and to be honest suffering is all I’ve ever known. The loneliness is slowly turning into hate and bitterness which I know only makes me a worse person. I just can’t seem to stop it. Like I’ve never had nobody so I just rot away in my bedroom, I couldn’t tell you the last time I touched another human it’s been many years. I’m trying to do good but it never feels like enough. The constant dissociation has a way of numbing me to the good stuff. Man I feel ridiculous writing this however at the same time I don’t care because what have I got to lose… nothing.

I understand this. Though I’m considerably older than you, I’ve been through quite a bit as well and I realize how debilitating depression and anxiety can be. Medication has helped me some in coping. Therapy can also help greatly. It’s awesome and brave of you to share here what you’re experiencing. I think if more people were open and vulnerable about how they really feel and what they deal with, it can also help a lot of other people feel not so alone in their struggles. Hang in there man and hopefully you can get connected with a counselor or something for some additional sources to help! You’re still young with your whole life ahead of you and things CAN and WILL get better! It just takes time and effort. Don’t give up! Wishing you the best! ❤

With this comment I can already tell you are too good to hate yourself but also know you are to aware to not know people could always be better. Know that we all think that (assuming all people are inherently good but may have lost their way) but you are obviously caring and observant of emotional beings and that is a burden. I will always dedicate this song to the father of my youngest daughter whom I've loved so much. We've been through hell battling drug addiction together. And I always play this song everytime I feel miserable and high which was every single day. It was a scary place for me. I crawled out of addiction and built myself into recovery. Now, I'm sober but sadly, I needed to leave him because he's still the same. Our hearts are full of anger right now. I know he hates me for leaving him hanging but I need to save myself to be a better person and mom for our kid. He's been saying I'm like a devil and how evil I am for doing that to him. And I always go back to this song. RV, wherever you are right now, I still hope you can get out of that darkness. I'm sorry but I can't hurt myself like that anymore. I've been through a lot from you. I will never get tired of praying for you and wishing you'll be better. Andi misses you so much. She will always love her daddy.

Finally found a comment I can relate to... On going battle with a "cult" covert narcissist .. soon to be.. ex husband and his covert narcissist mom.... have a 3 year old in the middle and they lie and ... it is all just some really sick stuff... I sit with it and do my best... His mom is so much of it... Sad thing is I will never know if he knows her lies or if they set me up.. again.. but it wouldn't matter, he lies too... just alot of loaded betrayal and sick stuff... anyway, point is you're not alone... Stay with me and don't give up.... for your child, but for yourself too. We deserve peace. If not now, in our life sometime, we deserve real true peace... even if we are alone on our own... Oh and point of relating to this song..... His mom said I was the devil and did the devils work.. they have justified their actions and if they couldn't, made me a liar... It is so much.. Thier true self was shown to me and no one else had ever seen it.. His mom wants her son and our daughter to her own.. It sounds insane bc it is.. It is too much. If someone reads this and wants to know more just ask... bc it is good for me to talk about it, but then it starts messing with my nerves and now I will just wait. Maybe someone will see this and need it in thier life.. Covert narcissism is real and sick. Sociopathic, brainwashing.... manipulation and leaves you empty. Ironically, I found myself in the sick maddness. I accept who I am, my past and all. Bc I don't have to hide who I am and I dont care if everyone likes me or not. I know I am kind and genuine.
